Great finish though, even if it was waved off. I was begging for the ref to end the half, then happy he didn't when Weah made that run, then wanting him to end it again. 
He didn't look offsides at all, the defender's knee was out in front
Agreed. In real time, I thought he was off by a mile. Turns out it was maybe a foot or less.
The announcers are half empty like our fans.

This looks like Pulisic at his best. Healthy under Frank Lampard. Darting fearless runs in the box.
US should play the second half the same way as the first. At most, they should keep one mid back a bit to disrupt counters.
I’d go so far as to tell the team to expect Iran to get a goal so we need to get a few more. Worst thing is for the US, with its youth and all the pressure of the moment, to go out there all tight and play scared. Just go out and outscore the opponent in the second half.

He’s been the best I’ve seen him all tournament long. I’ve become a fan over these group stage games, where I was a bit down in him during qualifying.
(American) football plays tend to be more packed in and have a lot more stuff potentially in the way of the necessary camera. The more low-hanging fruit is balls and strikes in baseball.
I’m not surprised about Puli. Even bruises are gonna get very stiff without the movement of the game.
Really tough break after such a great goal. Said it was an abdominal injury - was a pretty violent collision...
These Big Ten refs always screw us.
I love when they call refs experienced....I have seen this ref numerous times and he has always been terrible.

GB needs to hold a mid and defenders back here. These are nasty counter situations in the middle like this.
