Here's a great version of I Can't Let Go that I first saw on a Jukebox thread on here. Can't remember who posted it.

I've heard it speculated that this song is about the Scott expedition on the race to the South Pole in 1912 or so, when they (the English Scott expedition) got the South Pole only to find that the Norwegians had beaten them there, and everyone in the Scott expedition (five of them) died on the return trip).

I don't know if that's what this song is about but it does have the lyric "Were we ever colder on that day / a million miles away." Regardless of what it's about, it sounds good.
