Can't give him a long-term contract until he proves that he can stay on the field.Have any of you seen a player with so much talent who is always getting hurt? This guy just cannot stay on the field. Imagine if he played football. Hed get injured on every play
The Yankees will have to get rid of Judge because of the Stanton trade. You can't have 2 players getting hurt and paying them $30 millCan't give him a long-term contract until he proves that he can stay on the field.
There was Eric Davis for the Reds a couple decades ago.Have any of you seen a player with so much talent who is always getting hurt?
Griffey, Penny hardaway, Grant Hill, Brandon Roy, Bo Jackson, Tony Boselli, Mark Prior. Happens more often than you thinkHave any of you seen a player with so much talent who is always getting hurt? This guy just cannot stay on the field. Imagine if he played football. Hed get injured on every play
Please do not put Davis and Judge in the same sentence. Judge sucks compared to DavisThere was Eric Davis for the Reds a couple decades ago.
Some guys are just prone to injuries. Someone could probably get rich if they could figure out why.

Most of Griffey's came from running into walls and Bo was injured during football. Judge seems to have these muscular issues. Funny, seems that Stanton has the same types of issues. I am not going to speculate but...Griffey, Penny hardaway, Grant Hill, Brandon Roy, Bo Jackson, Tony Boselli, Mark Prior. Happens more often than you think
As a Reds fan, you are correct. When healthy Eric Davis was one of the best all around players I have ever seen. Just couldn’t stay healthy. There was Eric Davis for the Reds a couple decades ago.

That's a ridiculous statement. When healthy, Judge is better than your inflated perception of Eric Davis. Please do not put Davis and Judge in the same sentence. Judge sucks compared to Davis
Still remember Ray Knight clocking Davis at 3rd base. Straight right hand to the jaw.As a Reds fan, you are correct. When healthy Eric Davis was one of the best all around players I have ever seen. Just couldn’t stay healthy.
Great fightStill remember Ray Knight clocking Davis at 3rd base. Straight right hand to the jaw.
Great fight
The operative word being game! Get up 6 days a week and lay block all day or pour and finish concrete or lug building materials around a job site all day in all types of weather just to keep your family fed then tell me about your poor sore side or lower body. Get your *** out there and play through it. Mantle was in constant pain and got taped up like a mummy most days to go out there. If he needs 2 days off here and there to keep him healthy for the whole season I have absolutely no problem with that. A lot of people here act like they have any idea what it’s like to be 6’7” 280 lbs playing a professional baseball game every day.
If you look at stats Judge is better but if you're starting a team and you can have either one in their prime Davis is the hands down choice. That's a ridiculous statement. When healthy, Judge is better than your inflated perception of Eric Davis.
2018: Judge played in 112/162 games (69%) He was DH in 20 games. He had 183 fielding chances in 2018The operative word being game! In fairness to Judge this could just be Boone protecting an asset and not Judge's fault, I really hope that is the case.
And if anyone says they pay players too much to risk sending them out there and getting hurt, then here is a tip: Stop paying them so much.
2 days here and there have not kept him healthy since his rookie year. When they sign contracts, they are based on full seasons, right? Time to start prorating salaries of players who want to rest.If he needs 2 days off here and there to keep him healthy for the whole season I have absolutely no problem with that. A lot of people here act like they have any idea what it’s like to be 6’7” 280 lbs playing a professional baseball game every day.
Dave Winfield 6'6" 220 lbs
Dave Kingman 6'6" 210 lbs
Richie Sexon 6'7" 205 lbs
Frank Howard 6'7" 255 lbs
Darryl Strawberry 6'6" 190 lbs
Aaron Judge 6'7" 282 lbs
I actually can't argue strongly against that. Davis was an outstanding outfielder and a true double threat (power and speed on the bases). Not to mention a proven winner in the postseason. If you look at stats Judge is better but if you're starting a team and you can have either one in their prime Davis is the hands down choice.
I actually did not put them in the same sentence, nor did I offer my opinion on the relative merits of one to the other. But, the idea that they could not be spoken of in the same sentence is ridiculous. Please do not put Davis and Judge in the same sentence. Judge sucks compared to Davis
Griffey Jr broke down a *little* early but he doesn't belong on that list imo.Griffey, Penny hardaway, Grant Hill, Brandon Roy, Bo Jackson, Tony Boselli, Mark Prior. Happens more often than you think

Right, Mantle never played every game, not even close. Exhibit A (miss Bart):Like I implied earlier. Fat has never been a reason to not be able to play baseball.
yeah, some of these cats are borderline ridiculous. part of the 'no accountability' culture we're in. one dimensional player with below avg defenseHold on there. Baseball is one of the least physically demanding sports played.

Tell that to the Yankees trainer the last 2-3 years. They've had a full team of former All-Stars on the Injured list at or near the same time.Hold on there. Baseball is one of the least physically demanding sports played.
The guy is tissue paper. Can’t sign him to a long term dealHave any of you seen a player with so much talent who is always getting hurt? This guy just cannot stay on the field. Imagine if he played football. Hed get injured on every play

These guys work out, unlike during the days of Mantle and Rose, and they often suffer from muscle injuries. Wanna be a stronger and faster athlete and play a sport that notoriously crosses three seasons- you're going to see a lot of pulls and strains.
Dude, you want to focus on "physically demanding" whatever the hell that means. No one is saying baseball is tantamount to wrestling or playing a soccer match. To think that someone is making that argument is too moronic to warrant debate.Dude if you think baseball is physically demanding (SP and C excepted) I don't know what to tell you.
Mantle did play more than 140 games 12 times. To be fair to Judge- he has played in 3 full seasons. He has been over 140 once and if you pro rate last year- again, wouldn’t be close. So, one of four years.Right, Mantle never played every game, not even close. So what if Judge misses a couple of
games a month that is 12 games.
Agree- can’t put a guy with 600+ HR 2700 hits first ballot HOF on that list. LolGriffey Jr broke down a *little* early but he doesn't belong on that list imo.
