Man, the ACC is a travesty when it comes to its football officials.

As happy as I was to see UNC lose, the offside call on the onside kick was utterly atrocious. When the kicker made contact with the ball, no UNC player was close to being offside. They got robbed, period.

You really can't make a call like that unless it is absolutely clear that a player is offside. But, they were not even close.

The ACC failed to handle their officials correctly after the Duke fiasco and they are failing now. They need a serious revamping including hiring new officials; paying them more money (College Football is a Billion dollar business - it's officials should be paid better such that it draws in better officials); and having a new evaluation system as well as better training for these guys.

It really is atrocious given how much money is involved and the size of this business to have such awful calls.

Well for what it's worth...apparently UNC woulda had a targeting call that was missed that would have offset anyway.
