Denny's rolling strong. Think they do all-night delivery, too.
Do any diners stay open all night in your area? All of the ones in our town and in neighboring towns are no longer open 24 hours. I can't recall the last time I saw one advertising 24 hour service.
Park Ave Diner in South Plainfield, Park 22 and Bridgewater diner are all owned by the same people I believe all three are 24 hours.Park 22 diner in Green Brook also open 24 hours. Went there at around 3 a.m. a year ago and still shows 24 hours on its website.
Somerset Diner still advertising 24/7/365, too. Woulda been surprised if they didn't go 24.
Is there one in Monmouth/Ocean? Could not find a single one. OB Diner in Pt Pleasant used to be the go to place after a midnight - 5 a.m. fire run.Nope.
The Manalapan Diner *used* to be open 24/7, but that was a few fires ago.

Also the place on Morris Ave. near Kean. Was that the Queen Elizabeth Diner? I think it's called the Tropicana now?
Two of my former late, late night dining options.
It's not a diner; it's America's Diner.Dennys is not a diner.

Seems that most changed from 24/7 during the pandemic (and some closed). I guess in part due to having fewer customers in general, and in part due to finding it hard to get and hold onto staff.Do any diners stay open all night in your area? Someone here in the office said it was for sale too.Mike's Unicorn on Victory Blvd on Staten Island. Place is always packed with plenty of waitstaff available to serve.
Mike has 4 Diners on Staten Island and possibly 2 more in Brooklyn. They may all be opened 24hrs.
My wife and I would go to the Menlo Park Diner when in NJ but last I checked they close up at 3pm now. Said that they can't get people to work.
It was and, I think, still is. Asking price was at least $4M.Someone here in the office said it was for sale too.

Things just not the same after COVID.... Diners and restaurants/chains.. not open as late as they used to be, and service is struggling to get back to where is was before. Give me the old PETER PANK Diner days... open late, legacy waiters and waiteresses... I drive home at 9pm on Saturday and many places (except TOMMY's LOL) are closing up... SUCKS.
I actually had a group of my old SWMHS buddies lined up and prepared to buy the Peter Pank when the family decided to get out. In the end, the redevelopment was worth more than the business so now it's a f'in Wawa, because we absolutely needed more of those.
have you ever been to a Wawa that wasn't filled with people?
And when I was a kid, before the Peter Pank, there was a bar/restaurant called Clair & Coby's where I spent a lot of time spinning on the bar stools next to my dad. Years later, me and coworkers would go to Peter Pank for breakfast after night shift at Dupont.I actually had a group of my old SWMHS buddies lined up and prepared to buy the Peter Pank when the family decided to get out. I know you're younger than me, but did you ever go to the Raritan Diner on Bordentown Ave in So. Amboy. I think it fit like 12 people in there. It was in one of Woody Allen's movies.
Clair & Coby's moved to where the Outback is and then the Peter Pank was build on the spot where Clair & Coby's was.I remember Clair & Coby's - it was where the Outback now sits.
I don't recall ever going to the Raritan Diner, but... tbh there's a lot of things I don't recall.![]()
At the rt 9 rt 34 split heading south on 9 there was nothing at all on 9 until Old Bridge- Matawan Rd. when I was in High School. My father was just talking about Clair & Coby's yesterday funny. Was located where the Outback is now in Old Bridge. They're putting a ton of new homes and businesses on Rte 9 S and it's already a disaster there.
