You got it. I didn't ask the two that won it in the year they played at Wallace Wade I just ask what two Heisman Trophy winners played there. Sort of a trick question. I was at Wallace Wade to see both of these play. Different styles of running backs. Duke in a way contained Dorsett that day. They put Jeff Green on him in sort of a man to man defense for lack of a better definition of it. Dorsett got his 100 that day but he really had to work for it. Had a chance to win that day. When I saw Rogers he was so big and powerful but he was just a sophomore that year. The biggest thing I remember about that day was a really old South Carolina fan that was at least 3 shades to the wind sitting right below me and friends. He kept standing up and turning around and telling us that you always have a decent football team but you got a crappy stadium. All we could do was tell him to shut up and sit down. LOL . You are up Hart. OFC

Ok...ACC Basketball...The 2016 ACC Rookie of the Year award went to Brandon Ingram of the Blue Devils. Did you Know a Duke Player won the FIRST EVER presented ACC rookie of year award also?

Name the Blue Devil and the year.....

Hint: This award is not near as old as the league's annual MVP honor.....

Here's what I would guess...

Jim Spanarkel, 1976
Gene Banks, 1978
Johnny Dawkins, 1983
Grant Hill, 1991
Chris Duhon, 2001
Luol Deng, 2004
Jabari Parker, 2014
Jahlil Okafor, 2015
Brandon Ingram, 2016

Williams, Brand, Hill, Dawkins and Deng never won it. Duke had the first three and the last three so it's the middle three that are missing. OFC

Redick seems sensible, but I would guess Chris Bosh won ROY over him. Hard to believe Deng didn't win it... but I forgot he was in the same class as Chris Paul. So let's go with the middle three as:

Corey Maggette, 1999
Chris Duhon, 2001
Austin Rivers, 2012

Laettner, Redick and Maggette no. Duhon , Rivers correct. Only one left. He did score 2,000 points, got a ring and went on the the NBA. Should be easy now. OFC

Yeah, I usually don't dabble too much on here during the weekend. Gotta spend a little time with the fam :)

Duke has won the Maui Invitational 5 times. Name the years that we won the tournament and the five Duke players that won Tournament MVP Honors.

Only one correct answer so far. I'll reveal who that is the next go-around of guesses. Here are a few clues that should help:

-None of the 5 teams made it to the Final Four that season
-4 of the 5 players won a national title during their collegiate career
-All 5 players are white
-The schools we beat in the Finals were BYU, Arizona, Ball State, Marquette, and Kansas.

Hurley, Dunleavy, and Singler are correct. But none of the years are right. Just gotta remember that they play the Maui in the Fall, so Hurley and MP2 would have already graduated in 1993 and 2013.

One guy came in between Hurley and Dunleavy. One guy came after Singler.

Who remembers the Duke Blue Devil who had buzzer shots to win the game ON THE ROAD in '96??? One would have won a ACC game (just missed from corner), and we lost a heartbreaker by one. The other swished from the left wing and Devils won by two-also an ACC game..

Ricky Price on the road against Maryland and on the road against UNC-Cheat.

Wow dukedevz you really had a tough time w/that one!!?? Lol- GREAT JOB!!! Funny thing I met Ricky in a restaurant about 10 yrs ago, and I brought up that Maryland shot...He lit up like a Christmas tree...Fantastic guy!!! I remember that play so vividly as OBVIOUSLY you do dukedevz. Coach K was really thin depth wise, and Ricky's shot came off an in-bounds play under our basket...

Wojo took a Stan Brunson (soccer player!)in-bounds pass at the point and whipped to RP for game-winner!!!

Great job again my friend- you are up!

Was Stan Brunson a goalie? He seems a little tall for soccer. Yep, definitely remember the 96 season. I loved Ricky Price - it was sad how his career unfolded, essentially spending his whole senior year in the doghouse. But he had 3 really good seasons with us.

In the Coach K era, who holds the record for most disqualifications in a season with 9?
