My brother had an interesting encounter with Fred Goldsmith when he was playing high school football. Goldsmith's first job after being let go by Duke was as a HS Football Coach (Goldsmith actually took two years off). My brother, who was playing inside linebacker, was all over the field against Goldsmith's squad. He had at least 20 tackles that game, maybe upward towards 25-27... Well, during the middle of the game after he made yet another tackle, Goldsmith walked onto the field towards my brother and said, "Boy! If I was still coaching at Duke, you'd have a scholarship!" So that was pretty cool. We tried to get in contact with the Duke coaches, but they never responded. He ended up signing with the Air Force Academy and played a couple seasons before quitting due to concussions/ankle injuries.

Can't think of a new question off the top of my head, so let me go back to an earlier question that was never fully answered. Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders are considered two of the greatest multi-sport athletes of all-time. Which professional franchise did each of these guys play for last? The Raiders, Royals, Braves, Falcons, 49ers, and Cowboys were included in the previous answers. None of those are correct.

Bo Jackson last team was featured in a 1990's movie that was geared towards children.

Deion Sanders played alongside Will Demps and Chris McAlister with his last team.

Angels and Ravens

Correct. Bo Jackson's last season was 1994, which was actually the year Angels in the Outfield hit the movie theaters. And Deion's last season was in 2005 with the Baltimore Ravens. Take it away, dbav!

Quick Story about Tommy Amaker:
In January 1992, my 7th-grade brother received an assignment to "Interview someone who does a job you would like to have." My brother called the Duke Basketball Office and requested an interview with Coach K. They politely told him that Coach was busy...
My father, in secret, later called Duke back and explained what was up and asked if maybe an assistant coach would go for it? Tommy Amaker did. He made a scheduled call to my house on January 26, 1992 and my brother and his friend interviewed him. I was in 3rd grade, listened to the whole thing and got to ask him if he "had any superstitions?" He said no. When we met him later, he remembered us and asked what grade he got. School first.
