So I wear low ankle athletic socks and want to get some new ones for Christmas.
I've always gotten Nike, but they wear out in no time. Tried regular Nikes and the dri-fits.
The entire heel is missing within a month.

Any suggestions? UnderArmour any better? Or are all of the major shoe brands (Nike, Adidas, UA, Asics) all generally the same.

The best athletic socks I've ever owned have been Smartwool's. They're amazing. Kind of expensive, but worth every penny. They're made of Merino wool, which does naturally what all of the other brands try to do synthetically (moisture wick).

You might want to try out the online brand Bombas. They've really upped their game and have good deals because they are online-only. I've really liked the ones I've gotten from them.

Finally, yeah, Under Armour socks seem to last longer than Nike's. My Nike socks have been the worst, actually, and I own all of the above brands. They're not terrible by any means, but they show their wear the fastest.

Ok well first of all put some vaseline on your heels once in a while to ease that nonsense.

I get the packs of puma ankle socks from Costco and I love them.

One word. Thorlos. I don't know if they make the little girlie anklet socks like you like or not. I think they do. I wear the basketball crew all day in boots and they last a long time. Nice cushion and they're wicking. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for. Once you've ordered online from them you'll get buy 3 get one free offers about 3-4 times per year. I wear them with dress and running shoes too. Best sock by far I have ever found.

Ditto on Features. You can get them at Scheels or the Running Company in downtown Lincoln. $15 per pair but that's the only thing I will wear in warm weather.
