Sawchuk has sustained other injuries not shown here: a slashed eyeball requiring three stitches, a 70% loss of function in his right arm because 60 bone chips were removed from his elbow, and a permanent "sway-back" caused by continual bent-over posture.
I'm a Boston Bruins fan. They used to have a goalie named Gerry Cheevers. He wore a mask and drew a scar on the mask every time he got hit in the face.

The worst sports injury I ever saw was the Clint Malarchuk incident, not going to post it because it's very graphic. Gives me the chills just thinking about it.
