Just watched this about NJ's favorite theme park of the 80s:

That video was straight trash.

Let's just find pictures on the line and narrate over it with ****** commentary based on intel found on a Wiki page. Come on. The netflix doc was real. Real people, real stories. This is just some joey jerkoff babbling rubbish.

Some of my fondest memories as a youth were spent there. 100% lawlessness.

In the 80s it was know as Fracture Park among EMS responders
Lol

We had Playland locally (they filmed Tom Hanks "BIG" scenes there in 80s)
People died there three years in a row.
I don't really like amusement park scene

Best park ever. I went there a lot and I didn’t live anywhere near it. My father fractured his collarbone on a water slide. There was a multi person tube slide that I loved. One time our tube lost all shape half way down and turned into a giant sphere. We abandoned it in the tunnel. My friends who were behind us ran us over and dragged us for a bit before all five of us ended in one tube. This ride was also good at removing bathing suits which was why a lot of people would just stand at the end and watch!

Even when Mountain Creek opened and had been running for a few years, some of the original Action Park rides were still operating. The Tarzan swing and the slide with the 12 foot drop into freezing spring water was there until the early 2010s at least as I went there with my youngest son. There was another slide where I would get so much momentum I invariably hit my head (as a 20 year old you don't care, in your 40s you're wondering what you just did to yourself). I would do the freezing water drop but the other slide I just couldn't deal with.

Great memories though of fun times in the 80s. Hard to believe now that we would have gone as teens, but I would go down the shore from North Plainfield just saying i was down the shore for the day, don't hold dinner for me.

I remember that wide water slide that multiple people could go down by one of the beer gardens. It had a pool of water to slow you down if you were going to fast. People would watch, beer in hand as girl after girl would lose their tops when they hit that slow down pool of water.

Still looking for some of the skin I left on the alpine slide.
I worked with a girl that had a terrible injury on the alpine slide. She had skin grafts and permanent scarring pretty much from her armpit to her hip. It looked like she was a burn victim. Crazy shiit.

I vividly recall the photos they had when you got off the ski lift before you got on. So many flesh wounds

And I remember the low quality beer in the beer gardens! But if you were nursing wounds the beer was the least of your problems.
