Not sure I said that exactly, but I hear ya. I watched wrestling last night then read a bit, so I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Cyber attacks will be commonplace as society continues to adapt to this (still) new, more convenient lifestyle. They do it to us, we do it to them. Doesn't make it right of course.

Some strange & odd stuff going on tho without a doubt. Quite concerning actually, but that is just my opinion.

No outages for me or my line of work.

I've been in and out of work yesterday and today for other stuff but haven't heard anything from our SOC or security teams. If I hear something I'll post it.

Without looking, I'd guess this is more of a cloud outage. The first image someone posted of the fortune 500 companies.. a lot of them have their infrastructure on Azure, AWS or GC. So if one of these big providers experiences am outage (or a breach), then it can affect a lot of businesses.

I didn't notice, but we have Spectrum, so I'm not sure anyone would have noticed anyway because of their ****** service. 🙄

In all seriousness, if I saw one of those things coming down a street at me, even knowing what it is, I'd probably freak out.
The one in Red Planet was scary.

Did we just shoot down another Chyna object in American Air Space?

It seems someone isn’t playing around & going to keep sending them!

Why wouldn't they keep sending them? Something is afoot. There is a since of coming dread in the air. I can't put my finger on it because my finger isn't big enough. I just feel it.

Probably costs us a lot more to shoot it down then for them to build it. They can make the balloons and equipment on it for cheap with their slave labor while we are shooting off missiles in the hundreds of thousands from our jets that cost money to fly and maintain. Make us waste even more money then we already are. Might as well keep doing it since we won't do anything serious to stop it with all the China money coming into here.

We spy on them. They spy on us. Everyone measures their dicks and we go on about our lives.

Yeah we had no internet for 4 hours. So stores were trying to shutdown because there was problems with checking out and such. I told the lady I had cash she was like hold on let me ask my manager.

Had a similar experience. Credit cards were down. Asked the kid at the counter if they still took cash. Kid stared at me like a goldfish in a bowl until the manager came and showed them how to make change.

How do some of you enjoy your daily life?

If any of this happens what are you going to do about it? Oh that’s right nothing, just deal with it.

Relax and enjoy your day fellas.

You are aware that it is possible to know what's going around you and still enjoy your life, right? Knowing that smoking causes cancer doesn't seem to take the enjoyment aware from millions of people. I guess if they didn't know they would be more pissed when they found out later that they were deceived...

I'd rather know what's coming so I can prepare rather than be ignorant of dangers on the way.

Well that makes two of you. I’m good. Just don’t pay attention and live my life. I’ll deal with it whenever it happens. Definitely don’t need to clutter up my life with balloon stories and possible cyber attacks when flipping YouTube goes down. Just my opinion.

Do you have fire insurance or medical insurance?

Now I’m not conspiracy theorist but it’s funny to me this happened at around the same time as all the commie balloons started showing up and our politicians want our focus directed at that instead of what looks like could turn into a true disaster for our waters around the Ohio and Mississippi Valleys…

Oh and this was also the exact same thing railroad workers said could and would happen if things didn’t change…and our beautiful president and congress told them to STFU and take it.

I am an Air Force Vet. Aim High. I thought the Air Force was weak, well at least compared to the other military branches. Still one big happy family tho!

Why waste time on this nonsense when we’re being invaded by extraterrestrial aircraft?

Do they sell cyber attack insurance?
So you own fire and medical insurance? Why would you spend all that time and money thinking about something you have no control over? Why not just worry about it when it happens?

Pretty simple, because if a fire happens I can still survive and get a new house. If aliens attack us or WW3 starts there’s nothing I can do so it really doesn’t matter. Like people prepping to survive a nuclear holocaust, nah man I’m good rather be dead than live like that.

So realistic ability to survive? How much cash do you keep on hand? Wouldn't it be helpful to know of internet outages to be able to get cash out of the bank before it goes down completely? What about the train derailment in Ohio? I haven't heard the msm say much or anything about it. But by just keeping an eye on other news sources I am able to make plans and to look into potential for health effects to myself, my family, my animals and the like.

You seem to want to push everything to the extreme when it's just smart to be knowledgeable about what's going on to make sensible plans.

I’d rather not be knowledgeable about a bunch of stuff that doesn’t affect my day to day life to be honest. I don’t watch any news to be honest.

It’s me and my dog, won’t get into how much cash I keep around (I will say I have plenty of guns and ammo though at least for a few months) but we can hop in the ride and start driving to wherever the f**k we want on any given day.

Hell, I’ve up and moved twice in the last ten years with barely any notice to anyone. Just said, yeah I’m going to roll out of here. The only debt I have is my house which I could pay off tomorrow if I wanted but the interest is the interest whether paid off early or not so I don’t bother yet. Keep it simple my man, keep it simple.

And now that I’m thinking about it I haven’t watched the news or owned a computer (minus tablet or phone) in a decade except when hanging with my folks.

Guess what? Nothing in those ten years on the news REALLY affected my day to day except Covid and I thought that, smartly, was stupid as heck.

Now my folks & grandma on the other hand tend to worry about EVERYTHING, getting shot in every big city you travel to or visit, all 72 Covid variants of Covid, the Chinese weather balloons and whatever other bs they love getting you worked up about to make that commercial money.

Nothing sounds like fun like getting all worked up over nothing.
