A blowhard who vehemently trashed Joe and Penn State by parroting the false narrative again and again.

It’s amazing that someone in the media can get paid well to be uninformed and obnoxious.
Perhaps someone should go a sh*t on his front porch!

The media is worthless. They are propagandists. And I never realized what scum the media is until 2011 and with how they handled that story. Disgraceful.

I think the writer of that article might need surgery to remove Dan's member from his throat. It's really deep down there.

I always shake my head at statements like this. who exactly are "the media"? FOX? MSNBC? The local newspaper? Anybody who writes or says something you don't like?

Sure, some in the media are scumbags- just like some in every line of work are. But the idea that there is some monolithic entity out there called "THE MEDIA" that is constantly spreading lies is an idea largely created by crooked politicians years ago and swallowed by far too many people since.

Reality just isn't that simple.

Rather than parse details, it’s easier and more efficient to paint with a broad brush and hate everyone the same. That’s what I do.

Sports media shifted around the time of Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick on SportsCenter (Berman did this too but was limited to NFL shows) and then shifted further from sports reporting to ‘opinion as fact’ and sports reporters as stars when Dan Patrick left for his radio gig (and copycats like Cowherd became big doing the same and even taking things further). I tried listening to Dan Patrick radio but the first 45 minutes was him talking about himself, what he did on the weekend, what celebrities he met, etc.

Mainstream media went that way when Fox took the Rush Limbaugh radio program and repackaged it in a more consumer friendly Bill O’Reilly show. All networks do this now and most people can’t tell the difference between news and opinion. Troll culture and social media means anyone with a phone and internet can pass themselves off as ‘journalists’ and nothing sells better than controversy.

Well known pos actor/provocateur in Chicago. His shtick passed for radio entertainment in a pro town. Of course, he decided to comment daily on Sandusky with. 2,000 mile, know nothing lens. I suspect people like him who base their careers on rousing the masses with fiction end up in hell.

yeah, but all this is irrelevant in today’s world. Today, the question is “do I or do I not agree with them?” If I don’t, I think they’re awful, evil and need to go. And I will find a team of people and we will gang up on them and fuel each other’s hate. Not only has this completely dissolved the distinction between actual evil people and people I disagree with, and resultantly allowed evil to rise to the top … it has caused a paranoid meltdown of certain groups, who no longer trust anyone with any power, unless they have proven to be limited, like them. Unfortunately, those folks are leading their followers around by the nose, for their own benefit, and they’re the truly bad people. Thus, you end up with scummy media feeding their followers the opiate of paranoia, telling them the rest of media, and the world, is against them. And the addicts listen to the actual evil lying portion of the media telling them not to listen to the media.

And before you know it, information is the enemy. Education is the enemy. Understanding, tolerating and helping others is the enemy. And evil is your friend.

Jeebzus.

Why are you so deficient with proper punctuation?

You hit the Return key only once during your meandering diatribe. Who does that? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Back on track….

Bernstein was the cretin who wrote “ Joe Paterno, who thankfully is almost dead…..”

A true a$$hole. I hope he never works again.

I don't agree with Bernstein's remarks - they go too far. But what does it say about you, and those like you, who stand in vitriolic judgment of the man simply because he stood in vitriolic judgment of another?

Regardless, ask yourself, if you could imagine a hypothetical, not involving JoePa or the PSU program, where you believed someone covered up child rape (passively or actively) ... would many of you not share the same disdain that Bernstein did for this hypothetical person? My guess is a lot of you would.

So, in that case, the only difference between you and Bernstein is whether or not you believe JoePa was at fault here ... you don't disagree with his reaction, given who he thought was to blame for what.

I’m guessing that logic isn’t your strong suit.

Research, facts, knowledge, that’s the difference in the Information Age. Not how provocative you can make your tweets.
