Jose Ortiz had a terrible ride on Tacitus. Sat too far back and ducked in halfway down the stretch.

None of these horses are superstars.

In fact, the best three horses that ran today at Belmont we’re Rushing Fall, Mithole, and the incomparable Bricks and Mortar.

McKinzie would have beaten Mithole by 5 lengths with any kind of a ride from Mike Smith. It was not his best work.

add Rushing Fall to that list. If Joel Rosario gave Game Winner the kind of ride he gave Sir Winston today we my be talking about something different in terms of the triple crown. I can't wait for the Haskell and Travers hopefully all the big boys are ready to run back and Omaha Beach joins the fold. McKinzie, Thunder Snow, Catholic Boy, too. Shaping up to be a great Classic if everyone that should and can run does.

Side Note: On 12/22/18 at Gulfstream Park Bricks and Mortar raced in an allowance claimer where he won 25k for first and could of been claimed for 75k. Absolutely unreal.

Did anyone else think the inquiry sign was going up for Sir Winston on War of Will? Without seeing any other angles, it looks like he makes contact and WOW definitely changes strides. I can't really tell if the contact caused it or he just blew the turn a little bit. Colmus even mentions it.

He definitely came out on WoW however Casse trains both horses and Wow just didn't have it yesterday he finished nice and was fully out of juice. So objection was never coming there.

I hadn't thought about Casse having both horses. Yeah, he isn't going to say anything.

I’ll tell you who had a bad ride was Ortiz on Tacitus.
Way too far off the pace and then couldn’t make up his mind whether to cut inside or outside.

Ted Williams struck out with the bases loaded before. I'd still want either one on my horse next time.

I was trying to find the video of Jose talking after the race and I can't find it at the moment, however what he said makes total sense. He said that he and presumably Mott too thought War of Will was the horse to beat and that he stalked him for that reason. As a result when it was time to kick if Will had kicked in and ran than those horses to their inside would of had nowhere to run and Tacitus and Will would of run home together, when Will didn't have it and started fading it opened up that spot for Sir Winston to make a move to the outside and it was too much for Tacitus to make up with Sir Winston having saved the ground early in the race. I think Jose did exactly what he should of done or so he thought. I just wish there was any speed in the race because freaking Joevia just got an easy trip and stayed up for third and ruined all my tri's and supers haha.
