I don't follow all of CFB as closely as I used to, and certainly don't follow UNC hardly at all, unless we're playing them. So you'll have to forgive me for not knowing their redshirt freshman QB was putting up epic numbers this season. 29 TDs, 3 INTs, 2,760 yards passing, 560 yards rushing with 3 rushing TDs. Leads the nation in TDs and total offense. His numbers should have him in the Heisman conversation, but playing for UNC will probably keep him out.

Thank goodness we aren't playing UNC next year.

Having not paid any attention to UNC this year, I couldn't say. Clemson has not looked unbeatable by any stretch, but they keep pulling games out.

UNC d is not very good. They have given up a ton of yards and points. You are on target with their qb. I've seen him play and was impressed. I don't think their d can stop Clemson so as bad as I hate it I'd have to say Clemson will win that match up.

Yes...I wonder which offense Longo is running up there...said DeBoer as he slowly, quietly beats the dead horse.

FWIW we did toss an offer out to Maye. He had a bunch of 'em. Seems he was heading there from the beginning.

I've really been disappointed with our recruiting N. C., especially the Charlotte area. Mack Brown has closed off N. C., except for Clemson and Georgia, both of whom cherry pick a couple of top flight recruits annually. I have no idea what our problem is with lack of N. C. recruiting success. Morrison got some real players from N. C. Jim Washburn an assistant on his staff and a N. C. native did well.

Yeah and that D just lost two starters vs Pitt so who knows what Clemson would do to it if they made it to the Championship game. Maye is the real deal however and had committed to Bama before changing to UNC. U know there is a long history of Maye's at UNC.

They sneaked up on me also after their earlier loss and that high scoring escape from Boone. Last year was a huge letdown for them. It looked really bad for Brown the way the season started this year. But he will do enough to remain if he cares to. The interesting thing will be, when he no longer cares to, do they elevate Chizik, the other guy up there who has won a national championship. Chizik's defense has not shined, but I don't know anything about their personnel.

We feel the same King, looking at the recruiting it would seem they would be a lot better, but as we've seen so many times stars do not equal great play on the field. The D continues to give up a lot but somehow they have been making enough stops to win games. After last year, I was expecting a much better D this year. If it was not for Maye, this would probably be a 500 team.

I saw one of UNC early games and I was impressed with their QB. Watched the end of their game with Pitt Saturday night. He’s very impressive. UNC problem is their defense.
