There was a dunk competition called Dunk Kings that came on after each NBA Playoff game on TNT. Did anyone else happen to watch it?
This is the best update that I can give from memory. The guy that was 5'5 ended up winning. He won by jumping over Shaq to dunk once they narrowed it down to the final four. I can't remember his name but the Native American guy came in second by jumping over a guy that was set on fire while wearing a fireproof suit. Over all the competitors definitely saved their best dunks for last.I had been watching that after the games, and freaking went to sleep last night, so I miss the crowning of the champion. Hoping someone here has seen and can provide an update. Those guys have some sick dunks. I wasn't even aware there were such a thing as a "professional dunker"
No problem, there were some crazy sick dunks in the completion and I agree that we would've never seen most of those dunks in an NBA competition, especially a dunk where the dunker jumps over a guy that's been set on fire. Thanks DiehardDuke .. Dang now I really hate I missed it. I knew that 5'5 guy has amazing hops, but to pull that dunk off is crazy. I have to admit I like this version of a dunk contest better than the NBA. Of course these guys are able to be more creative, giving the fact that playing professional ball is not to much of an option. The risk to injury isn't as big of an issue compared to if they were under contract.
