There are a lot of small SUV models out there. But not all models are available for immediate delivery. Model Y is a great choice and can be delivered in a month or so. My personal favorite in terms of styling is Kia EV 6.
Local cop I'm good friends with just got an EV6 GT and LOVES IT.

But then, cops are used to driving ****** cars, so...

Styling looks more like an FJ Cruiser revival than a 4Runner. But guess that doesn't matter since it's just a MT rendering.

Article is about as useful as the rendering, but I'd be all over a 4Runner hybrid. Already thinking about the Sequoia, and a 4Runner would make a nice dealership comp.

Makes sense given what they've been doing with other trucks and SUVs.
I saw one in the road yesterday. Outside of the fact that it had a Rivian nameplate, it was the most unremarkable large SUV you’ll see

Think you meant to quote someone else.

Don't entirely disagree about the RS1, but what makes it remarkable to me is that they went with a boxy old school design. Same for Kia and the new EV9.

I really don't know if a pause is necessary or not. For sure it at least seems wise to approach powerful AI functionality with an abundance of caution due to the potential for producing semi-random catastrophic errors.

Public perception of AI is usually way off. It's not close to human-like intelligence, not in the general sense. But the capabilities are rapidly becoming suitable for certain types of narrowly defined tasks and, for some of those, it's clear AI is going to exceed human capability.

As you mentioned, it's unclear driving is a good example. Given the correct inputs (sensors and V2X), good old fashioned algorithmic software can handle driving tasks. Don't need AI. AI sounds glamorous, but it might not be a good fit due to the aforementioned potential for semi-random catastrophic mistakes. Better a coding mistake that can be diagnosed and fixed than an impossible to trace and correct transient generational flaw nobody can figure out.

There hasn't been an SUV made (gas, hybrid or electric) that I like the looks of. Some are less visually offensive than others but that's not saying much. Agree on the Polestar 2.

What are you looking for? Or are you saying SUVs just aren't for you?

At this point, they've repackaged that two-box about as many ways as they can. I like old school boxes, especially original 60s/70s designs with removable roofs, but can understand those aren't for everyone.

Most modern crossovers and small- to mid unibody SUVs do nothing for me, but a few of the euro luxury and sports versions I like ...Jag F-Pace, Alfa Stelvio.

I'm just saying SUVs not for me but I will admit the Stelvio is not too bad looking. A friend really wanted one but but said it would have to come with an Alfa mechanic before he'd buy one.

Anyone have any experience buying an EV from another state?

NJ waives sales tax but there’s a dealership in PA that has a good deal on a Genesis GV60 that my wife wants. Does PA waive sales tax too; or does NJ refund the tax?

Does anyone know for sure?

He does have the blue check mark so he must be legit. LOL
Here are some ideas for some truck things to do with your Lightning. We need to step up our game and get further from post #6.

Here's a good one:

This is my retirement plan or when you need more tree work:

Epic:
Keeping the Home Heat and lights on during winter blizzard power outage!!!

Who is this guy?
A Tesla production prediction fetishist? 😀

I wonder if he brings that kind of stuff up at parties. “Hey everybody, my Tesla production predictions were within the margin of error three months in a row.“ 🤣

Seems about as exciting as watching paint peel, but whatever knocks his socks off.

That 4wheeling picture was close to what I did except I was not In an open field. I was picking up my kids at dance class. The studio is next to a warehouse. While I was waiting, some guy asked me if I was there to pick up the equipment. At least I look like a trucker 😀

Here are a couple of items that we can get to make our F150 Lightnings make us look more like truckers:

I don't fish enough to justify this one:

A little over the top, but who will question your truck driver status if you have this?

Toyota confirmed the I-Max Force hybrid powertrain for the next-gen Tacoma today, so MT's already safe prediction just got even safer.

Hopefully, it doesn't follow the new Tundra's terrible open-bottom grille styling, but I think we all know where Toyota's going to go.
I’m curious to see what it looks like.
