Remember when everyone said Elon was an idiot for buying Twitter and ruining it? I see X is back to his purchased valuation plus another 2x for what xAI has become. Seems like he figured out how to make that work. I think he’s gone a bit overboard this time but still won’t bet against him turning it around for Tesla.
Musk and friends investing another billion doesn’t mean the value is back. If it was a public company, this falls under painting the tape.

Usage is up, advertisers are back and people are lining up to buy the debt in secondary. xAi alone is worth twice what he paid for X. Hard to say it’s turned out to be anything but a good acquisition despite all of the noise at the time saying otherwise. I was told X would be offline and Facebook threads would have taken over by now.

Usage was not a problem pre or post Musk. Where did you see advertisers are back? Don’t see too much reporting because it’s private now. Interesting enough that one of the investors in this round was buying up debt too.

When Conservatives had a issue with Bud Light messaging we stopped buying any Budweiser products. When Liberals have an issue with ANYTHING, they burn down car dealerships, Tesla cars, police buildings, pull down statues etc. So yeah, there's clearly different ways to send a consumer message.

No one said usage was a problem, but for a usage driven business, increasing usage as he has, increases value.

Plenty of reporting about advertisers returning.

Just put a down payment on a Telsa and I don't even need a car. Musk is most certainly opening up new markets, and these new markets have more money than the old markets.
Dead on - The new market works and has $$. Congrats on the purchase! Best cars on the market. Got mine over the summer - will never go back to ICE. Fast, quiet, no maintenance, no gas stations, no haggling, no silly dealer fees, great sound system and the most made in America car available. And FSD is better than advertised.

Seems to me you may be a bit obsessed with politics. I look at this market as the growing majority of the country - you see republicans....
LOL. Seems to me you are putting your head in the sand on Tesla’s sales. But like you said, we’ll see who’s right.

All facts.

“Model 3 vehicles are available for earlier delivery near you.* Trade-in your current vehicle and drive home your new Model 3 with 0% APR financing for up to 60 months or 0.99% APR for 72 months when you take delivery by March 31, 2025.**”

Thought about it but they’d need to give me more for my trade in which isn’t happening.

Is that trade in your current model 3 or any vehicle?

I think it’s any…
“Submit a trade-in request to get an estimate or browse available inventory to get started. Trade-in not required for promotional rate. ”
That’s interesting. I’m assuming they just give you whole sale or is there a new business line coming.

Not following.
“The whole Musk thing just shows how silly we have become politically in this country.” The other side might have some equally compelling examples of how silly things had become that led us here. I won’t derail the thread with them, hopefully you can identify a few. When we realize both sides have become equally silly, we can hopefully meet in the middle. Neither side shows much promise in this regard but fingers crossed

Yes. They are making EVs and hybrids so cheap, it would put big 3 and Tesla out of business.
So the (theoretical) first Chinese automaker to break into the US market after decades is going to put the entire US auto industry out of business? Because throngs of Americans are going to embrace Chinese cars immediately?

This is fair. But is it also fair to question the optimism around Tesla here based on Politics given the news of sagging sales in China due to competition from BYD as well as 49% drop in Europe.
