OT: first earthquake

I know the east coast getting hit with crippling snow, but ****! since moving a year ago from NJ, I experienced my first earthquake in the Bay Area at 2:30 am that woke me up!

Congrats. I guess i'm "lucky" i didn't have to leave NJ to experience mine. How are you liking the area?

A good friend of mine from Rutgers was working and living near San Diego. He experienced an earthquake in the middle of the night. He slept in a water bed at the time.

He was so disoriented he thought he was drowning!
