are 70-9 with 3 regular season games left. They have to win all 3 remaining games to beat the 95-96 Bulls regular season record. Will they beat it? Will they just tie it? Will they come up a little short?

I hope so! I sure would like to see it, but I see them losing at San Antonio though. Playing at San Antonio is always a very difficult place to play. I think in the end they will tie it because I believe they will win the two games against the Grizzlies.

It will be hard to do IMO. The pressure will mount when you are trying to beat a monumental record. They just need to forget about it and play but that's easier said than done.

Their loss to the Wolves the other night (at home) left them no room for error. I think they end up matching the record at 72-10.

Did anyone see Pippen's comments in the last week about how the Bulls would sweep this Warriors team? I don't buy it. For one, the Bulls didn't sweep a single team in the Finals during their six championships, and two, I hate how people act like this GS team isn't that good. It's ridiculous.

And for the record, I'd say Bulls in six or seven....but I believe it would be a very entertaining series.

SA is resting their players against Denver so they will start a full squad at home against GS on Sunday. I bet earlier in this season that they would beat the record but then they go and lose head scratchers to the Lakers, Celtics, and TWolves. They are going to be mentally exhausted when the regular season ends. Best thing for them would be to lose their next game and then shut it down until next weekend.

@dukiejay i agree with you that is ridiculous to assume the Bulls would sweep the Warriors. Everyone remembers the past so nostalgically. I think it comes down to home court advantage and which rules we are using. Give the Bulls home court and 90s hand check rules and they would win in 6-7 but flip it around and I think the Warriors would win in 6-7. I don't know why people are so afraid to admit that this team might be as good or better than the 90s Bulls. Heck, this Spurs team might be as good.

Losing to the Celtics is definitely not a head scratcher. They have talent and play aggressive with good coaching. They will be a tough out in the playoffs.

The T-wolves also have very good talent...they are just young and unpredictable.

The lakers loss was crazy.

The rules now and when the Bulls played are different so that would have an impact on the game. Ultimately the Warriors use of the 3-point line would probably give them the edge. Statistics on good shots is so much more advanced now.

Tim don't think I've seen you post on here in a while good to see you bud.

I think they tie it. Don't they have an away game Saturday and then an away game sunday AT SAN AN? That's nuts and I think unfair (I don't think any team ever should have to play two road games in two days, not just GSW)

I just cannot fathom them winning that Spurs game Sunday, but they could. I see them tying it.

Pippen is high and jealous and salty a team is going to tie their record. I agree with DJ that people trying to dismiss this team as really not all that great are out of their mind. No they are not the greatest team of all time. But they are very exceptional, playing such incredible selfless ball and do so many things so well. They are just sensational.

I agree with dukiejay, the Bulls team beats them. Though I disagree with how many games. I say 4 or 5 games. Curry, Thompson and Green would have 3 of the best defenders the NBA has ever had on them in Jordan, Pippen and Rodman. Huge difference from what they would see with guys in the NBA now.

I would rest the players and not try too hard to get the record. A title is more important and having somewhat fresh legs is more important than a record. A record can be broken, but a title can't be taken away.

I do think they should go for the record....it's a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing. Let's be honest, they're going to coast in their first round series anyways.

Something that sticks out to me is what Barkley said a few months ago. Today's NBA is very predictable. Right now, there's maybe three or four teams that can rightfully say they have a shot to win the title this season. Back in the 90s I remember more 'really' good teams. Even some of those good Bulls teams were really pushed in the conference playoffs.

Lastly, the Wolves are playing really good ball right now. The Lakers loss is a head-scratcher, but the Wolves have come a long ways in the last two months. Last summer I wanted them to draft Okafor....and nothing against Jah because I love him, but the Wolves made the right pick. KAT is going to be a star and one of the best bigs in the league...if he isn't already. Jah can be too, but KAT is more polished overall, right now. I just hope we're able to keep this nucleus together.

P.S. @denniden - I rode your boy Isaiah to a championship in my fantasy hoops league. It's a salary cap league and I literally stole him and Kemba Walker in rounds three and four....they paired nicely with Harden, D. Jordan, Aldridge, Melo and Rondo. I won the opening series 3-1 and then had a 4-0 sweep in the finals. By far the best team I've ever had in fantasy hoops.

IT has been a machine the last two months. He has led the Celtics in scoring for every game but one since the end of February. That's a solid team too. Especially with a cap. You got some guys who do certain things well and get numbers in those categories.

It was one of those years where all the stars aligned and I never faced a long-term injury. Zach Randolph, who I got cheap, was the only guy that falls into that category....but he was always slated as a backup anyway. I also had Alex Len and Devin Booker who were nice plug-in guys down the stretch.

I think they'll end up tying the record because like so many have said, the Spurs are a really good team and they won't be easy to beat in San Antonio.

Agree, they will be a tough out. As a Heat fan, they are the team I hope we can avoid in the first round. Boston is capable of winning a 7 game series against any team in the East.

But the warriors losing to them WAS a head scratcher. GS hadn't lost at home all year at that point and Boston was on the second night of a back-to-back on the west coast after just losing to Portland and LAC. Boston may be good at a lot of things, but road games against Western Conference teams they are not. So considering the circumstances (including the extra day of rest GS had), losing to the 5th best team in the East was certainly a head scratcher.

I disagree with your 2nd paragraph. They will get rest as soon as the playoffs start. A day off, minimum in between games and they will sweep in round 1 and sit around for 4-5 days for round 2. Go break the record!!

The Warriors won tonight so they tied the 95-96 Bulls with 72 wins, it comes down to their final game on Wednesday to determine if they remain tied with or beat the 95-96 Bulls win record

Steph Curry continues to prove that he is probably from another planet where they play basketball on a different level. 4th q starting and he has 46 points already with 10-17 3's. The'll probably rest him in the 4th q but I would like to see him get 65 points.

If Steph Curry plays any in the 4th quarter, he's got a good chance to break yet another record. He needs 3 more 3 pointers to break the record for most 3's made by a player in a game. He currently shares the record with 2 other players with 12 made 3's in a game.

No one will ever even sniff 400 3's. That number is just stupid.

Remarkable. Just incredible. While people were fawning over Kobe, Steph probably could have had 70 had he played as much as Kobe.
