OT Help with publishing an article (duplicate from TIF)

It looks like I can develop my document in MS Word and convert to LaTeX later. The publication in a journal requires that the document be in LaTeX format.
I also expect to need a LaTeX editor.

Recommendations for Word to LaTeX converter and a LaTeX editor?

Any other recommendations? I am planning to use Sage Publishing but I’ve heard they have had problems with false peer reviews and antitrust allegations.

I don't know if you're familiar with the free and open source office suite called LibreOffice, but they provide an extension that adds support to export Writer (similar to MS Word) documents to LaTex format. https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/writer2latex-1

Writer can import Word documents, so it might work for you (you'd need to download and install LibreOffice first. https://www.libreoffice.org/).
