decided to make a day of it and drive to Lexington for something different. Did the red trail at Raven Run. That really is an excellent hike, much better than I expected for a county or city park. Great overlook about 200 feet above the Kentucky River

Anybody else ever do that one?

Many many times, Raven Run is very nice. Years ago, there was some discussion of a bike trail from Raven Run to the Horse Park . . . so we are about half way there. :sunglasses:

As a coincidence though, my wife and I hiked Bernheim Forest near Bardstown yesterday. They had a new art exhibit called Forest Giants that drew a really big crowd. Was a great day for a walk in the woods for sure.

That would be pretty awesome . Assuming it would connect with the Heritage trail?

Im a little spoiled. I live NE of Cincy and from my house I can be at the Little Miami scenic bike trail in about 2 miles. So I have quick access to about 70 uninterrupted miles of dedicated off road bike trail. Its an old railroad bed paved over.

You mean Legacy Trail, yes.

My daughter/son in law have done the Little Miami, or part of it, and thought it was awesome.

Ever ridden the downtown trail in Charlotte NC? Goes all through the city along a creek, can stop for a beer or lunch all along the way, really a nice amenity.

Yep Legacy. If that’s the one that goes from the ymca to the horse park entrance. The Charlotte one sounds nice, but never been there. The great thing about the little Miami trail is that it has so many varying landscapes.
