I’m home from Myrtle Beach but I wish I was still there because it’s so much hotter here than it was at Myrtle Beach lol

I have become a stranger of the board. Sorry I missed this. Where was your tournament played? I wonder if my nephew was in the same tournament.@LetsGoDuke301, I’m going to be in your area tomorrow through Friday. I coach an 11 year old baseball team, and our Southeast Regional tournament is in Wilmington.
Wouldn’t mind meeting you, if you’re around.
I take a radio to the beach. But keep it close and the volume to a respectable level. As with everywhere, your time shouldn't encroach on other people's time and you should respect that other people may not like the same music as you do. But let me be honest, Dude, poison and bon jovi are nowhere near the worst music you could be subjected to. No offense to country music fans, but some of today's country really irks me. We had some guys a few weeks ago blaring Florida Georgia Line and I wanted to take their radio and throw it in the ocean.Hey, lemme ask you all a question.... what’s your take on a radio at the beach and the etiquette of it? We are here for a week, and this group plopped down next to us yesterday blaring 80s rock like Poison and Bon Jovi. Goes against one of my primary beliefs, that you don’t bother other people with your stuff. Am I just old?
Today’s “country” isn’t country music at all. It’s more rock n roll now. I won’t listen to it.I take a radio to the beach. But keep it close and the volume to a respectable level. We have a few nice people. Don't tell anyone thoughIf you can believe it I’ve already run into a couple that are Kentucky fans so they teases me a little bit when they realized that I was wearing a Duke hat and Duke shirt but they were really nice lol
It was long ago. Stayed in a "friend's" condo on the north side (ghetto) of the island. The water smelled horribly like sulphur, the walk to the water was very long over sand that was about 150 degrees, and the scuba diving operation was the worst in my fifty year's experience diving. Drove to the more posh south end, and I could see the attraction. Also, I don't golf. Can't make a comment like this and not share! Did a dolphin bite you?
They were the 2nd & 3rd Kentucky fans that I’ve met in person and all 3 have been nice. They were from Kentucky on vacation at Myrtle Beach. We have a few nice people. Don't tell anyone though
Yeah that isn't surprising, Kentucky is a Southern state and I am sure you have heard of southern hospitality. I am glad you have had good experiences with Ky fans. Ky people are nice to me every day. Like any other place we have good and badThey were the 2nd & 3rd Kentucky fans that I’ve met in person and all 3 have been nice. The only opposing fans I’ve ever had problems with in real life were Maryland fans. Other than that the only opposing fans I’ve ever had a problem with is message board fans. lolYeah that isn't surprising, Kentucky is a Southern state and I am sure you have heard of southern hospitality. A lot of my friends are UNC fans so I don’t really count them because they’re reasonable for the most part. While I was at Myrtle Beach I actually met a guy that lives about -20-30 minutes or so from where I live. He and his son were UNC fans and we poked fun at each other back and forth all week. He said he was going to get my name and address before he left so he could send me a UNC T-shirt and hat and I told him that I’d just mail it back to him lolYou must not have met any unx fans in real life then.
I don't know if I can call it rock n roll. That's pretty insulting as a fan of rock n roll. It's more like pop if anything.Today’s “country” isn’t country music at all. It’s more rock n roll now. I won’t listen to it.
Jersey shore.
And I’m a quiet guy, I like to read and listen to the ocean. Got no need for loud, aggressive 80s rock, you know?![]()

Do you ever go to Fire Island?
Out of curiosity, was one of their names John, maybe go by Jack?Actually yes... my wife’s old boss and his husband had a place there. Holy **** it was nice. Guy was a multi millionaire. It was this crazy house that was made up of like five different buildings around this central Japanese garden thing... each bedroom was its own little building with its own little bathroom and stuff... and then the main building was the kitchen and hang out place... it was insane.
@TheDude1 , this was a legit question.Out of curiosity, was one of their names John, maybe go by Jack?

Its a weird story. Turns out we have a cousin who was adopted out at birth. My aunt had him when she was 16 and none of us knew about it. He recently reached out to my brother on Facebook and explained who he was. He is married, to a dude, and has a house on Fire Island. He is trying to put together a big family reunion type party and is offering to pay the travel expenses for anyone who wants to go.Sorry, I didn’t see that you quoted me. No I don’t believe so? I’ll be honest, I can’t remember the husbands name Why, you know somebody with a house that sounds like that?
