I loved history, primarily "current history" in high school (and took one elective course in American History at Carolina). If I could have made a living in it, I would have majored in History (but would not have wanted to be a teacher). Anyway, if 20th century history is of any interest to you, I highly recommend it.
OT: If you have Netflix, I recommend "Turning Point"...The Bomb and the Cold War
