100% respect for how Clark handled the whole situation and nothing seems to bother the Iowa coach.
I think she handled herself well personally. I’m surprised by this take. It sounded very much like she had one particular writer in mind but wasn’t going to name names. It was interesting that she said if you want to call my players names then do it at home but not in public
If she’s not going to name names, she shouldn’t be using terms like monkeys and thugs. She knows exactly what she’s is doing and all it does is contribute to more hate. She’s a big time trouble maker…and she also used the comment to deflect from their disappointing loss.

She was reporting what she heard, no? I don’t hear her often so I don’t know what she does. Do you not think those words are used to describe her players? It’s sad that there seems to be no way to have a discussion about race without rational discourse. Each side just seems to inflame the other
My point is that these are serious allegations. Anyone can say anything to incite hate..”I heard” doesn’t cut it with this. Name the people. Otherwise, it reeks of an agenda item…especially after a loss that she probably feels a little embarrassed about.
She also brings it up after the Iowa coach said the game would be a bar room fight (not a great choice of words today either).. It’s easy for the casual and emotional reader to imply the Iowa coach may have said far worse here.
Ridiculously transparent agenda item here, IMO.

She was specifically calling out “a National reporter”. I think the reporter got the message. Why does she need to take the person down in public? I guess the right thing to do is to address said writer in person. But she’s giving the message to the writers to be considerate what’s being said.
It’s fine that we disagree here. IMO the reporter should be called out by name, otherwise I question the validity. I would have said it was irresponsible, but given there is some history here (the BYU incident), I think it’s calculated.
It honestly feels like pro wrestling. Like this girl has her own ring name "bayou barbie". Girls are getting punched in handshake lines. Interviews sound like promos. There's a lot of drama, jealously between players etc. It's probably the reason this year's tourney was so popular tbh.

I hate the players at a desk right after the game, with the coach and fawning cheerleaders, I mean "commentators".

I have no issue talking trash during a game. The foul line thing by Reese was fair game, but what went down at the end of the game was something totally different. That was vindictive and angry. IMO, LSU missed the moment. The women's game was put on a huge platform because of Clark. LSU should have embraced Clark and thanked her for bringing more eyes to the game (and eventually more money to other players like Reese). Instead, LSU and Reese opted to feel disrespected. Now 90% of the people who watched will go away.

I don't know how common this is, but I wouldn't have watched LSU vs SC in the finals and I did watch the actual matchup.
I thought Reese's post game interview was amusing. She said that nobody expected them to be there. Really? LSU was 31-4 and Mulkey has won 4 National Championships, one of which was after a 40-0 season. Despite the heroics of Kaitlin Clark, LSU was obviously the better team. Who mourns for Goliath?
Lol. I mean that's just not how it works. LSU and Reese probably felt "disrespected" because they weren't getting the same attention Caitlyn Clark was getting. It felt like I was watching "Mean Girls" on the basketball court. It becomes amplified when one team is predominantly white and the other team is predominantly black.

Actually it is how it works if you see the big picture. Bird and Magic hated each other on the court. No one talked more than Bird. And, yet, win or lose the respect was always there between the two of them. Flip it to golf. A lot of players hated Tiger on the course and even off it for a long time. But, they all acknowledged -- even when he wasn't particularly liked -- that he brought eyes to the game. Like I said, you either understand the moment or you don't.

it was pretty embarrassing. i love some good trash talk, but you just won the national championship the FIRST thing you do is literally chase down the best player in the country for some extended gesturing and trash talk lol. cringe as cringe gets.
funniest part is that espn and others HAD to show the replays (you know damn well they didn't want to) and there was ZERO REAL opinion from the talking head anchors, they wouldn't DARE call her out lol.
still makes it easier to shoot threes and other shots. If you think of the percentages a shot has to be with the tolerance to be "off" and yet still go in.. that inch.. which allows more control in a hand and more room inside the cylinder.. probably helps a lot.
i love shooting with my daughter's Evolution indoors...buttery grip, such an easy feel shot from 3, the size and weight make a HUGE difference.

These DL/LB guys (for example) pounding their chests standing over a QB after getting half a sack after some offensive lineman has been shutting him out all game (and knocking him on his keaster for three quarters) is why I cannot watch whole games anymore. Besides, when I was a kid, you could get killed by the other team if you made fun of them lol. Just because you played better did NOT mean you were tougher than they were!
