Two other old school guys came to mind with Murphy:

1. Yvon Cornoyer (pronounced Cornwyay for you young-uns ;) ). 5'7. Montreal Canadiens - won 10 Stanley Cups with the Habs. 10! Including the Conn Smythe trophy in '73 and was captain during the great Canadiens run of 5 cups during the 70's.

There's another but I'll try to wait a day or two to name him in case someone else comes up with the name.

Let's not forget about Earl Boykins (unless someone has already mentioned him). 5'5" and had a great college and NBA career. He actually lit us up for 23 points in the NCAA tournament when Eastern Michigan beat a hobbled Chris Collins led Duke team. I believe Collins had broken his foot and wasn't 100%.

Glad to see somebody finally mentioned him. He had the highest on base percentage centage ever in baseball. How tall was he smash? :D OFC
I just looked up his Wikipedia page and it said that when he died only one major league player came to his funeral was Bob Cain, he was the pitcher that walked Eddie Gaedel in his only major league at bat.
