Yea, losing to Schiano is the gold standard of incompetence and failure. Yet we keep him. Shows we’re just in the conference for the money. When Schiano beats you it’s time for a change.
Different financial situations. If Schiano was only owed 10 million and only contracted through '28, he's be gone too.How can you not? It’s a Rutgers board and those two coaches have similar stats.
It'll be about that much for GS next year. Locksley is one year further in his tenure than GS, year 8 vs year 7.Different financial situations. If Schiano was only owed 10 million and only contracted through '28, he's be gone too.
. Shows we’re just in the conference for the money.
Comparison of records is a valid data point. And Maryland Rutgers are similarly situated.Shocker that usual suspects hijacked this into a Schiano bashfest.

We don’t know what RU will do. I believe if we finish 4-2, so 6-6 including 5-4 in conf, that he stays as its better than last yearSituation is much more complex than that. The political and media climate is different in NJ towards RU. Locksley's buyout is half of GS. Maryland is also supported by UA / Kevin Plank corporate $$ millions.
RU will move on from GS. Perhaps you should have moved on yourself from this board after your obsessive as nauseum posting over and over about how RU would never move on from Gavin W. You're doing the same thing now about GS. Some people never learn.

That depends if there is a mitigation clause in the contract. Sometimes, they don't include that.Just remember that if these coaches get jobs somewhere after they are fired, the firing school does not have to pay that amount in the buyout.
I think UNC needs a DC.Just remember that if these coaches get jobs somewhere after they are fired, the firing school does not have to pay that amount in the buyout.

While I don’t disagree with the theory that he’d be retained in that scenario, finishing 4-2 is almost more of a case for firing based on sleepwalking through losses to UMass and BC.We don’t know what RU will do. I believe if we finish 4-2, so 6-6 including 5-4 in conf, that he stays as its better than last year
That’s what I think RU will do not what I want
I give us only a 10% chance to finish 4-2 though. Just don’t see it with our defense
A winning record in conference? That would buy him at least another year, though it's not likely to happen. If it did, I would wonder what happened against UMass and BC.We don’t know what RU will do. Think he stays with a lot less wins than that. I'm not saying what should happen, but what's likely to happen. Despite what the mods say, money is an issue at Rutgers. It's always an issue. Who's going pay over time the 25 million to fire the staff. What's better, fire a coach, or free up more capital for NIL? Colorable argument that putting more talent in the program is more important long term, even you believe the current guy isn't the future. A lot of programs facing that question now -- FSU, Clemson, ect. Plus, historically Rutgers doesn't fire coaches in major sports with 3+ years on their contract. How many seasons did Ash get with 1-3 wins, before he was fired -- four! The Maryland guy went 4-8, 4-8, then this year before he was fired. The RU guy went 7-6, 5-7, and then this disaster. Nah, when it comes to Rutgers, I'll believe it when I see it. One or two more wins and it's a coin toss on whether he gets let go. I know this is contrary to the wishful thinking to the pitch fork crowd, but that's how I see it shaking out. Not sure what happens if we end the year 2-10, a real possibility. While I don’t disagree with the theory that he’d be retained in that scenario, finishing 4-2 is almost more of a case for firing based on sleepwalking through losses to UMass and BC.
Shelby always spits the truth. Cheese wishes RU would put someone like Shelby in charge.Yea, losing to Schiano is the gold standard of incompetence and failure. Yet we keep him. Shows we’re just in the conference for the money.
Shelby thanks Cheese. Cheese is equally wise to the ineptitude accepted in the Schiano football fiefdom.Shelby always spits the truth. Cheese wishes RU would put someone like Shelby in charge.
Why is any RU fan happy? We want Locksley to stay as we know how to beat him
Locksley didn't do the right thing , James Smith the Turtles AD made the tight move.Locke doing the right thing for Maryland. Too bad Schiano won’t.
Locksley's contract has him getting 100% of what he is owed, even if he gets another College HC position.Just remember that if these coaches get jobs somewhere after they are fired, the firing school does not have to pay that amount in the buyout.
Looks like Maryland wants the silence treatment be part of the firing and their making Aazar Abdul-Rahim interim HC
>Hours after Maryland parted ways with head coach Mike Locksley, two reporters from Testudo Times, Nolan Rogalski and Jude Wilkenfeld, set up outside Jones-Hill House hoping to get a few players to talk about the news. According to Rogalski, it ended with police asking them to leave. <
