I wonder if ESPN is already creeping back into politics, after seemingly doing a reset to focus on sports reporting and commentary.

I can't keep up.

ESPN: ok with politics when it's BLM and Kaepernick and Stephen Smith

ESPN: NOT ok with politics when it's Paul Finebaum

ESPN: ok with politics when it's McAfee

Alright, I'm not the biggest ESPN fan or honestly a fan of politics especially. I've tried finding anything about this. I can't find anything. Do you want to maybe link something or not just throw out some here say?

Just last year McAfee was saying he intended to keep politics out of his show. I haven't found any clip of this latest thing yet.

womp womp...yeah. i thought the sentence in the OP was a link since it's in bold but I didn't bother trying to click.

Otherwise, I stand by 2 posts above. still don't like McAffee. And ESPN was all for politics in sports...except for the conservative stuff.

I mean I feel like this is maybe referencing the Kyren Lacy thing, where half of the evidence was released and pointed toward Lacy maybe not being at fault and then the whole info was released and he then went back and corrected his original statement? He's reporting on a football player that was accused of a crime and then ended up taking his own life in connection to it among other reasons we will not know. That feels a little relevant to sport news. To say "badmouthing consistently" seems a little bit of a stretch and is just trying to start another post that runs towards politics on this sport site?

It's almost like ESPN has a certain "slant" that they're ok with....

Can't find the original. Must have been scrubbed but I'll keep looking. Meanwhile, to his credit, here's his mea culpa.

Isn’t that the clown that went running around on nfl today or whatever and jumped into a pool with speedos on?

Look, I don't like him when he's sticking to business. I hate him on Gameday. He's an inveterate ham. often outrageously so. If he digresses from the main thing, which is sports, I sho' ain't gonna like him.

My lawd, this guy will not stop running his yapper! He talks 3 times as much as anyone else on the Game Day crew, while saying very little.
