Id love to see Connor win but I think he loses fairy bad. It would be like Floyd in an Octagon. Conner has to much to make up IMO to even come close.

The smaller gloves certainly helps McGregor, but he may not land a single punch.

Dumb fight. If Floyd came at McGregor on the street it wouldn't last 10 seconds. Anyway.

I hope McGregor knocks his *** out. But Floyd should win this going away. He'll just jab it out and block/ move.
Disagree totally. Street fights. Irish madman. I beg to differ. I've had too man bar room fights with so called skilled boxers not to know.

One punch can change a fight. I think mayweather was stupid to agree to lighter gloves.

Saying Floyd just hasn't been hit yet is like saying the Patriots defense is good but wait until they play the Yankees.

I actually like both guys as fighters/entertainers and they've done a stellar job of selling this imaginary beef and making people interested, but I seriously question the perception of reality of people who think McGregor can win.

You're just completely blinded by Floyd hate. Which hasn't helped a single one of the other fighters everyone has cheered for to beat him, and those guys were actual boxers.

Conor is going to come away with 10 fights worth of paydays and even more leverage with the UFC, especially with Bones done. Floyd gets to be 50-0 and ride off into the sunset even richer without breaking a sweat.

And we all get fun sports in August after months of great promos. Everyone wins.

Disagree. I see a DQ because McGregor loses it doing a tornado kick up against Mayweather's forehead bringing about another big pay out fight.

I hope Mayweather completely embarrasses him, and I'm no Mayweather fan at all.

McGregor "won" this the day he signed up. There's no embarrassing him even if he goes down faster than Peter McNeeley.. His name became even bigger and he just made more than he'd ever make in the octogon.. all the while facing the world's best boxer in a sport that's not his own.

He can't "lose". It's like your sister challenging you to one on one: You win, you we're supposed to.. but you lose? Oh boy.

This is true. I've got a few close friends who do not keep up with fighting at all and all of a sudden want to watch all of Mcgregor's old fights. Totally engaged now.

Before this fight only MMA fans even really knew who he was. Seems like everyone knows who he is now.

I think Mayweather wins.. But I really do think McGregor has a chance.. and a good one to be honest.

His ego, his Larry-Bird like mind games, his MMA style and background that will confuse a guy like Mayweather who might not be able to spell his own name, the cheapshots that he'll will take which the officials will allow, to an extent, in a big match like this..

In some ways this is Mayweather's easiest fight of his professional career.. in other ways it's his hardest fight. He's going up against a lot of things he's never seen even if it is 100% by the rules of his game. It will be very hard to land that one punch, but it's no where near impossible.

You question their perception of reality?

McGregor is a grown *** man. He's one of the best all around fighters in the world. This isn't some chickensht pansy that's gonna walk in and say "oh everyone was entertained" and take a blow and go home. Ain't no glass jaw on the school playground situation here. The only thing that could kill that guy is a Pitino's crab infection.

So I wouldn't go as far as to question someone's ability to mentally function if they think he's got a chance. Of course he does.

Having said that he has no chance. But in a real fight he would dismember Floyd.

Having a chance and picking him to win are different.

And of course he'd win in a real fight. He's a trained real fighter just like Floyd is going to win a boxing match because he's a boxer.

I'd pay another hundred bucks to watch these two do a decathlon of other events. Basketball, horseshoes, darts, double Dutch, cooking, breakdancing, whatever.

McGregor will get hit a lot more than he is used to in his MMA fights and probably have some cuts after a couple of rounds and the fight will be stopped. All the people who paid for the ppv are going to be pissed.
I would like to see McGregor win but it's a real long shot in my opinion. He has a punchers chance I guess but I keep coming back to the fact that he isn't a boxer. There is a big age difference so that could be a factor.

Nope Gonzo you said believing he "can" win results in a psychiatric evaluation.

They really should do something else. Maybe run against each other for an open seat in Congress. That would be crazy.

It would make for the best episode of Trading Spouses of all time.

My favorite Floyd fight was when he fought Foley.
