A buddy of mine down at the Marcy projects went by Ashford "Ashy Larry" Lawrence. Good times rolling those dice.

I never understood why Jack was a nickname for John.

Watching old John Wayne movies, there was usually some one called "Whitey" because they had blonde hair. That's one you don't hear anymore.

An old grade school bud in Highland Park went out to eat with his parents at the Jade Pagoda a chinese restaurant in Edison.The next day I became the Jade. My hometown favorites? Bubbles.Munchkin.Juicy.Bunyan.So many more. All memorable in their own way. Those of us who weren't tagged felt slighted .
