Another day, another night with no Devils hockey. By the time they face off in TB tomorrow night, they'll have multiple games in hand on nearly everyone around them in the standings:

CAR: 2
PHI: 3
NYI: 2
TB: 4
WSH: Even
PIT: 1
DET: 2

What they do with those points is another question. Brutal stretch of games coming up.

TB 4. That is A LOT of games. Could be meaningful at the end of the season.

Devils window is just opening and will be open for the next decade. No rush to win now..

If they aren't in good position at the deadline, sell, sell, sell.

That bottom-6 isn't a top-6 in the AHL, but this is what happens when you have the equivalent of a top line and top D-pairing on the shelf. Gotta love Ruff - Smith on the top pairing and Vanecek in net after 4 days off.

I don't completely write off that 3rd line.

I'd like to see Holtz exert his presence here.

Outplayed TB tonight.

4th line was surprisingly good.

Devils did outplay Tampa - a shame the 4th goal was overturned.

While we cannot blame vitek for the first 3 goals allowed , he has to stop that routine OT shot from their defenseman.

Why is Fitzgerald refusing to acquire a better goalie? Does he want to be in the draft lottery again?

He was ok with trading away Sharongovich - who’s having a better season than Toffoli.

He also gave up a **** load for always injured Timo and Zetterlund has more goals than him.

While the point was helpful and they earned two IMO, they fell further back from a few teams we are chasing such as the Eyelanders.

Great job last night. Was at the game.

Gameday experience very good in TB. However they have the worst goal song known to man.

I thought TB was going to name the score when they went up 3-1. Since that point it was a domination.

Jesper Bratt is so good. Bahl was very good last night

Worried about Pittsburgh more than NYI and Phil.

We have been ravaged by injuries and the team will get 2 pieces in the trading deadline

If Bratt converted one of those breakaways it’s a W

How big does he look in person?

I want to see that body of his put to use and really start banging people around.

They deserved more than the 1 point last night. And I do blame VV for more than just the OT winner. Luke turning the puck over on the PP was a killer, but he froze and NEVER moves his glove on a shot from the slot. He flops around like a trout on a dock on anything in tight, but he's been freezing on shots from distance all season. 4 goals on 20 shots is unacceptable. How is it that every single defensive mistake ends up in the net? I get more and more annoyed with Fitz with each passing game.

I'm happy for Sharangovich. He probably wouldn't have gotten the same opportunity for playing time in NJ - before the injuries, but glad he's flourishing there.

Still not worried about Timo. Sounds like he'll be the first one back, but this team protects injury news like they're the nuclear codes. He's traditionally been a slow starter and the initial injury hurt him getting up to speed. After they rushed him back (more Ruff brilliance), once again it took him a few games to get going, but he was our best forward in the 5 game stretch leading up to the injury. When he's right, he's a bull and exactly what this team needs.

There's been some smoke around Jacob Markstrom from CGY and now Elvis Merzlikins wants out of CBJ. Let's see if Fitzgerald can make something happen here.

Certainly agree on Van

Dougie and Siegenthaler out fir the season.

Best player Jack has a bum shoulder , Timo hasn’t been healthy since we acquired him. Palat reoccurring groin issue. A 2nd and 3rd string goalie. Too much to overcome this season.

Next 3 road games you can pencil in Ls
They barely beat Chicago at home
Proud's predictions wrong as usual!!!!
