never understood the cut the cord fascination and now it is completely out of control

On paper, Sunny has done a masterful job of cleaning up much of the absolute mess left behind by Fitzgerald. However, there are still glaring issues through 3 games. The defense, which is now also banged up, has problems at every level. 1 puck-mover and 5 guys skating in mud. People were rightly concerned about the goaltending entering the season, and I've seen nothing that inspires confidence through 3 games. Zero regulation goals from Hughes, Hischier, Bratt & Meier. They've yet to play with a lead.
I wonder how long Keefe's leash is. He's not Sunny's hire and has put together a pair of basically .500 seasons heading into this one. If this is a middling team at Thanksgiving, I could see a change. With that said, this core group has already run through plenty of coaches...

Always fun seeing the Devils open this can against the 2nd class team from the garden. 8th time in their history that the Devils scored 7+ goals in one game against them. LOLOLO...HAHAHA!
Devils acquire 3-time Vezina winner Connor Hellebuyck from Jets
The Devils made a major move Friday, acquiring goalie and 3-time Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck from the Jets in return for several players and draft picks.

Welcome Helle. This is a huge pickup. We really needed better goaltending and he is the best.
Hellebuyck to NJ made so much sense for months now. Sunny went out and got his man. What they gave up was largely underwhelming and they're still well positioned for more. Larkin next?
Seems like every time NJ has a lousy goaltender they go somewhere else and turn out to be not lousy after all (OK, side note, bizarre that both Wedgewood and Blackwood were drafted by NJ out of Ontario and now both play for Colo). So, part of me is skeptical that the real problem is goaltending as opposed to other stuff. But hopefully I'm wrong.
Always thought not acquiring Miroslav Satan was a missed opportunity
Devils 3-0 with Helly in net !!!! Great game tonight beating oilers in a shootout
