OT: Omaha Plumbers

Went to go replace a leaky kitchen faucet. Is it normal not to have shutoff valves on a newer home (2006)? How much would one expect to pay to have someone install both the shutoff valves and the faucet? Not sure I want to deal with the hassle.

I'm no expert, but the lack of shutoffs seems odd to me. You might want to see if you can find a replacement cartridge for the faucet before you scrap the whole thing.

It is pretty rare to not have an angle stop on your faucet. BTW, angle stop is the plumbers term for shut off valve. I can't say for sure how much plumbers in Omaha charge to install them, but in Vegas I usually see $35-$50 per angle stop. I would also recommend a 1/4 turn angle stop as it will last a lot longer and is much easier to use than the traditional multi-turn valve.
