Unreal how many companies are located in Pa!
Denver Meat Company Hippey Hot Digs, a staple of Lot 34 tailgate experience. Top notch!

Western Pa. Has been a tird hole for decades and will continue to so be.Western PA needs to step up their game. For f*ck’s sake.
Rolling Rock… enough said!!!Western PA needs to step up their game. For f*ck’s sake.
Pa companiesWhat do Sheetz and Wawa have to do with "snack food brands", other than you can buy them there?
Turkey Hill makes ice cream, so I get that one.
Didn't they get bought by Anheiser Busch(now In-Rev) and moved to St Louis? Is the perpetual tap of Straub still in St Mary's?Rolling Rock… enough said!!!
Pa companies
Is Sire Power still located in Tunkhannock? Didn't know what they did there until a friend of mine did a sales call there back in the 90's!This reminds me of some business dealings I was involved with back in the early 00's and the PA Import/Export business. Do you know what the #1 export from Pennsylvania was back then(not sure if still the case)?? Cow seman!!
YesDidn't they get bought by Anheiser Busch(now In-Rev) and moved to St Louis? Is the perpetual tap of Straub still in St Mary's?
I believe that this is a map of where all of them are headquartered (or founded)...not a listing of all plants making the snacks.Poor research.
Lay's in Williamsport and Leclerc and Kelloggs in Muncy, all within 10 miles of me,
Sheetz is on there.Sheetz is missing from that map too - they’re from central PA I think.
AB bought them, but my understanding is that it's brewed in Newark, NJ now.Didn't they get bought by Anheiser Busch(now In-Rev) and moved to St Louis? Is the perpetual tap of Straub still in St Mary's?
Ugh...Art Vandelay should definitely look to focus on the importing then. This reminds me of some business dealings I was involved with back in the early 00's and the PA Import/Export business. Do you know what the #1 export from Pennsylvania was back then(not sure if still the case)?? Cow seman!!
Is Chef Boyardee still in Milton? Also Buckeye Pretzels used to be made in the Port. You could get a huge box of broken pretzels at the factory for like 2 or 3 bucks.Poor research.

Yessir! I was a huge fan of Wege pretzels when I could get them. Need to move back to Pa. Hanover is ground zero for great snacksI grew up in Hanover across the street from the original Utz potato chip plant. Hanover is the snack food capital of the world. I don't eat that stuff much anymore but Snyder's pretzels and Utz barbeque chips are still an occasional indulgence.
Yes to your first question, owned now by Conagra. Is Chef Boyardee still in Milton? Also Buckeye Pretzels used to be made in the Port. You could get a huge box of broken pretzels at the factory for like 2 or 3 bucks.
I was at a party in the late 90s when a female friend was telling me that her friend had a job artificially inseminating cows. Being a city/Jersey shore boy, I had no idea how this was accomplished. I kept asking questions for clarification until she finally said, “She puts on a long glove, covers it with lube, grabs a bagful of bull ***** and fist*#@&s the cow!” I completely lost it and almost 30 years later it still generates an audible chuckle from me.This reminds me of some business dealings I was involved with back in the early 00's and the PA Import/Export business. Maybe it was an outlet, but I remember Buckeye Pretzels near Curtin Jr. High.Yes to your first question, owned now by Conagra.
Leclerc is in the site that used to be Buckeye pretzels. It's located on 405 between Montgomery and Muncy.
Don’t know… all I know is I drank a lot of them at The Skeller a hundred years ago!Didn't they get bought by Anheiser Busch(now In-Rev) and moved to St Louis? Is the perpetual tap of Straub still in St Mary's?
Troyer Farms in Erie Co. always had good potato chips. Loved them as a kid. They were bought out by Bickel's of York in 2008 and the Waterford plant in Erie Co. was soon closed. I hope Bickel's burns in hell for that.Western PA needs to step up their game. For f*ck’s sake.
Absolutely… I was going to post the same thing. Troyer’s BBQ chips were the best chips I’ve ever had.Troyer Farms in Erie Co. always had good potato chips. Loved them as a kid. Very difficult to avoid after dinner snacking. Limit sugar intake with those snacks. And no soda or sugary drinks. I will try fruit but it still is not as satisfying as say pretzels or crackers. No matter how hard you work out, post-dinner eating will do you in if you let it.
Just to clarify. You reach in to clean the poop out of the bowel although it isn’t always necessary. You reach into the bowel to help guide the rod carrying the ***** to the opening of the cervix. You are guiding the rod by feeling the rod and cervix through the tissue of the bowel. You then push the rod through cervix until it reaches the other side which you verify by feeling through the tissue of the bowel. Then you squirt your load out of the rod.I was at a party in the late 90s when a female friend was telling me that her friend had a job artificially inseminating cows. Alas, I’m hoping that doesn’t qualify as a snack food.
Excellent point. Boyer isn't a global behemoth like the Hershey Corp. but it certainly deserves to be on the list. Generations of kids in western PA have grown up with them. I love their Smoothies even though I've been cutting out sweets as I get older. And you can still redeem play money which is a throwback to a different era.The Mallo Cup candy bar from Altoona and the Clark bar. Is that referenced?
We have a wedding coming up, are on Day 4/60 of no snacking after dinner. I’ll update if/when I fall off the wagon.Very difficult to avoid after dinner snacking. Limit sugar intake with those snacks.
