I know this is probably going to seem like a totally random topic but I thought it was interesting when I found this out yesterday. I’m at Duke for doctors appointments about every 4-6 weeks and yesterday while I was at my doctors appointment we got on a conversation about parking at Duke Hospital and one of the nurses told us something that I had never heard before. She told us that the school actually owns all of the parking decks at the hospital. I always thought that the hospital owned them but now that I know that the school actually owns all of the parking decks at the hospital it explains why hospital employees have to pay to park in the parking decks and it isn’t cheap either. She told us that it ranges from like $80-$100 per month that hospital employees have to pay to park.

As a former employee of duke hospital, j can confirm it is indeed expensive as hell to park there.
Yeah I couldn’t believe it when the nurse said that it can range between $80-$100 per month for employees to park in the parking decks.
