Definite blessing was this was in the better area of downtown. Only a few miles south and it probably wouldn't have a good ending for her.
The family press conf is what made me feel they knew more about the situation than the public does because they asked her to come home. This means the family believed that at least she had the ability to do so which would rule out her being held against her will and imo would rule out her being under the under the influence of something prohibiting her to do so.

My neighbors house was broken into about 5-6 years ago by a meth addict. So, my wife and immediately decided to have a security system installed. Now we’re talking about buying a handgun. We live in Boone County, which I’ve been told has the most meth addicts in the Country. A lot of houses get broken into when people are home, so I think it would be a good idea.
Our only granddaughter called her brother one night a couple of years ago drunk out of her mind. He was with me. He asked her where she was, and she did not know. How many drinks have you had? She said two. Scared the crap out of me. Put my gun on and proceeded to go and look for her figuring that she had been drugged. Long story short we found her safe and sound but drunk as a skunk. I did not say to her what I wanted to say. She has not done anything like that since to my knowledge. She is young, blonde and beautiful. I worry all of the time.
I don’t blame you. The younger generation seems to be into all kinds of strange drugs. It’s a different ballgame.
I never got into drugs. I do like to drink, but that doesn’t seem to be enough for the younger generation.
Pretty young blonde girls have to worry about guys slipping drugs into their drinks. Females should never leave their drink unattended. Sounds crazy, but I’ve heard tons of stories of that happening.
I’m sure your family have cautioned her about being alert, but I’m sure you still worry.
There is nail polish they make that will change color if there is a date rape drug in a drink. I would be getting that for any young girl in a risky environment.
