Great actor. This one hurts.

[Tom McAndrew]

An all-time favorite. RIP.

One of his all-time great roles.

I immediately think of The Dirty Dozen & then Animal House. I can't remember if he ever appeared w/ Kiefer on 24. Don't think he did.

[Midnighter]

This is nice…

His work was ubiquitous. 135 movies. Dozens of TV roles. I never considered him a great actor, like Brando or Nicholson, but he was solid and I enjoyed his work. Rest in Peace.

Donald Sutherland was superb in this film:

[Corner Room Breakfast]

My favorite movie of his, played a real SOB.

[BobPSU92]

I read that Donald Sutherland was never nominated for an Academy Award. That surprised me.

Burn them. Burn them all..

[laKavosiey-st lion]

Sutherland is thought to have had a net worth of around $60m,

Watched Eye of the Needle tonight. Haven’t seen it since it came out. Holds up well. Suthlerland’s character is ruthless.

Helluva novel

One of his pictures that I enjoyed was Ordinary People starring himself with Mary Tyler Moore, Timonthy Hutton and Judd Hirsch. It won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1980.

That was a very difficult role. I recently caught “Don’t Look Now” in a theater and he’s the best thing in the film, a very very difficult role, nailed it. He was a fine actor.

Someone needs to find a clip of the last scene of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.”
