Legendary Actor, Gene Hackman has passed at 95, however his 63 year old wife and dog were also found dead in their home in Santa Fe. No foul play per police.

He had many legendary roles, but one of my favorites was Royal Tenenbaum in the movie of the same name, The Royal Tennenbaums.

He was my favorite actor by far. Could play so many roles and I don't believe he ever made a bad movie. Let the investigation play out but sounds like either cabon monoxide poisoning or he/wife one of them decided it was time for them all to go. Used to drive by his house down in the Keys all the time. He had his own island in the Keys right by Bud 'n Mary's Marina on Islamorada if anyone knows that well known marina. He sold it several years ago as he was getting up in age.

Hackman, DeNiro, Hoffman, Pacino all cut from the same rare cloth and not surprisingly all incredible 70s actors (an era of the best filmmaking imho).

wow, that's a sad way to go out for a couple. Not much dignity for either of them in the manner of their passings (not that they had any control over that).

Latest update looks like the wife died of Hantavirus and Hackman lived for another week before dying of cardiovascular disease and severe Alzheimer’s. I hadn’t heard he had Alzheimer’s before, much less that bad.

There’s a weird dynamic there. One of the daughters said the kids hadn’t spoken to him in ‘a few months’. This was not too long after Christmas. Made it sound like they didn’t even speak over the holidays.
