And swallowing toothpaste will kill you.
sounds like any intersection in Asstin last time I was there with the homeless!!!!!!!I entered the T-junction of Adetokunbo Ademola Street and Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue in Lagos tonight at 9:30 pm on my way home from work. I like to avoid this junction like the plague but sometimes it's not possible. Unfortunately, we caught the red light. I think I have the only Crimson Ford Expedition in Nigeria. We stand out like an English bulldog's balls. About 50 children converge on my car begging for anything of value. Blind children, children on skate boards with no legs, etc. 50 naira notes ($0.15) buys a lot of joy. Pesticides on my lettuce would be a welcome concern if it was the only one I had.
I would rather be in Lagos, thank you.sounds like any intersection in Asstin last time I was there with the homeless!!!!!!!
There you go again, David. That is simply an untrue blanket statement. If it caused cancer, then those of us in the business would be in a heap of trouble and have much higher cancer rates. It is not the case.

Suspected, not close to proven. Everything l use is "suspected." Your blanket statement was horribly misleading.Randy, Not all pesticides cause cancer. The ones you work with are probably safe pesticides. But medical studies does suggest a possible connection with a number of cancers such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma,( by Roundup pesticide) multiple myeloma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and prostate, testicular, pancreatic, lung and non-melanoma skin cancers
It was not my blanket statemen, it was from Web MD and Mayo clinic.Suspected, not close to proven. Everything l use is "suspected." Your blanket statement was horribly misleading.
.I see you added the word SOME to your headline. But it is still deceptive. There is the implication that pesticides are a common cancer cause, that that is not close to proven. Granted, it is a hard connection to make, but there is a worldview perspective that claims some sort of proven connection, and that is untrue.
Lawyers like to make such claims, especially to make a lot of money. But even things like DDT, which were claimed to cause all kinds of problems, were never proven. It is about media and lawyers in a large way. Both have their own agendas.
Peanut butter is a carcinogen. But it's about risk-benefit equations. There is risk in a whole lot of things, but the risk is often implied, but quite small.
Mushrooms are a carcinogen. But the risk is quite small. I still eat mushrooms and peanut butter.
I'm 67 and so for, despite 40 years of significant pesticide exposure, still without any evidence of a problem. Maybe it contributes to me hay fever. But I had that long before I because a pest control guy in the mid 70's.
Some foods are known carcinogens. I mentioned two, but there are many, many others. A very small increase in cancers, but not worth messing up your life for. Informed choice is the key. But blanket statements about pesticides do not make us more informed. It makes us less so.
And if you're going to give such blame, then you ought to have some sort of proof, besides what people like Rachel Carson provided, when she lied and started this whole mess nearly 60 years ago.
Dam man! Can I join you!?meh, We all have our time to go. I'll be happy to go out eating surf & turf, sweet corn & baked tator, both Loaded with pure butter & bacon. Maybe if I'm really hungry a large side of fried okra and pecan pie
Sure thing trade, anytimeDam man! Can I join you!?
.
I will continue to eat organic non pesticide vegetables and fruits and I will remain a vegetarian because meat is loaded with antibiotics and hormones to fatten up cattle and chickens which some say are carciogenic.
My friend you have your viewpoint and I have mine.
Hey bullmarket, what kinds of fruits and veggies do you think make it to the produce aisle of your grocery store after being sprayed with Roundup? It was not my blanket statemen, it was from Web MD and Mayo clinic.
Some pesticides it is proven do cause cancer. Round-up is being sued for causing Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Personally I had a business client who owned a plant and flower nursery with him being around insecticides every day and he got and died of the type of Lymphocytic Leukemia that medical science says can be caused by insecticides.
Randy, I know some insecticide are harmless but some like DDT have been banned.
Randy, read tis link about Roundup weed killer
