The only other 1800's type player I recall reading about was "King" Kelly, but he played for Cincinatti or Boston I think. I'm going to have to tap out on this one if it's not "King Kelly".

UNCLE. For real. I looked it up. No one will get it. Time to move on. This game is getting really tough. I guess the next question will bevwho was the 1st. MLB pitcher to throw a swinging strike, who was the batter that swung and missed and what teams did they play for. OFC

Dave Winfield was drafted in 3 different sports.

Name the two of the three teams that drafted him? Bonus points if you can tell what is unique about one of the sports he was drafted for.

The 3 sports were football, basketball, and baseball. He never played college football, so I am going to guess his hometown team took the chance on him. So, Minnesota Vikings.

Not sure who took him in baseball, but he started his big league career with the Padres, so San Diego Padres.

No idea who took him in basketball, Kansas City Kings ?

The Atlanta Hawks drafted him. In fact, I think an ABA team may have even used a pick on him.

Correct! @dtodd4475 you're up.

@dukiejay was second with the Hawks and the ABA team was Utah Stars

Only 4 players have made the 40/40 club (home runs & stolen bases) for a season in MLB history.

Who was the first to reach it and the last player, to this point, to reach 40/40 ?

Jose Canseco was the first. Alfonso Soriano the most recent. Alex Rodriguez and Barry Bonds were the other two to go 40/40.

I think the Fielder’s became just the second father-son combo to ever each hit 300 homeruns. So it wouldn’t be them. And something tells me Moises might have hit more than 319 himself.
