That is correct. Thompson was drafted #1 by both the NBA Atlanta Hawks and the ABA Denver Nuggets. Quite an accomplishment. Take it away hart. OFC

Sky thanks! My kneejerk was Dr J, but it seemed too obvious, and felt like DT came in league after Erving.....OFC

As a segue to Sky's question about ABA rookie of year award, this question focuses on the league's MVP awards:

In '74 and '76 the great Julius Erving won the award. In '75 he tied for the award w/what player from what ABA team?

Albert Puljos recently became the all-time leader in hitting into double plays.

Whose dubious record did he surpass, and now stands 2nd in having the most "twin killings" come off of his bat?

Most ACC folks especially in NC, remember NC State knocking off Bill Walton and mighty UCLA on NCAA Semi-Final Saturday, 1974. The Pack advanced to Monday nite final of course and defeated Marquette.Name the other FINAL FOUR team who Marquette defeated to advance to the final. OFC

Close enough even if you meant Kentucky Sky. Kansas is the answer, and you are up!

OFC

I couldn't put Kansas because I looked after I posted Indiana. At that time I couldn't decide betweenot the two. It had just become a guessing game so I decided to peak and just put up schools
I knew were not correct just to keep it going. I'd like to go back to a baseball question as a continence to Munson. The Yankees eventually aquired Rick Cerone as the pernanent replacement for Thurman.
Although he was no Munson I do remember he did a pretty good job for them Yankees considering he was replacing a Yankee favorite . The question is from what other franchise did they aquire Cerone and I'm not even gonna ask who the Yanks had to give up unless you what to go ahead and give that info. OFC
