This weekend students are moving into the dorms and apartments in town which means football season is getting even closer. I usually dread this weekend and stay as far from downtown as possible because they shut down 1 lane on College and Beaver at the new big apartment buildings which makes traffic worse then on football weekends!! The Walmart, Target, TJ Maxx and all the grocery stores turn into chaos(like you all see in the stores near big cities on Black Fridays). However, after the past few years of the pandemic I have learned to embrace the madness of move in weekend and enjoy it with more patience!! Man I am softening up in my old age!! Welcome back students!!

I agree. I was driving past east halls last night and I said to my wife, town is alive again. I will never forget driving down college Ave in March of 2020. You could have shot a cannon down college and not hit a thing.

My niece just moved in. She's a freshman, but was fortunate to get one of the dorms where there's a shared space between them. I think she's in north halls.

I remember my freshman move-in very well 40 years ago. I always felt a little bad that my parents were more emotional than I was (or understood) when we parted. While I had immeasurable fun that first week, I wish I had been less of an idiot in the ensuing years.

My grand niece moved in and sent a photo of her view of Beaver Stadium. Ah, to be young again.

Can confirm the traffic and mayhem on Thursday and Friday. It made game day look like child's play.

Today's students have no idea how lucky they are with retail options. Back in my day, we all took it up the pooper from McLanahan's aka the only game in town
In our day it was gc Murphy!
Then agostonelli opened mc Lanahans thank goodness.

Yesterday, parked up by Sunset Park, Tia nic stroll through campus on my way to get a haircut. Beautiful sight seeing the hustle and bustle of town. After my haircut, spent late afternoon/early evening in Local Whiskey. Really enjoyable

Hope she likes it, I did.
I know its changed from when I was there in the 80's but I really liked that part of campus.
