Hey all,

I'm hoping to tailgate at Ryan Field for the Rutgers game. Does anyone have experience doing so and be willing to answer a few questions?

• Do we need to bring a generator? (For TVs, etc.)
• Are the parking spots assigned/reserved, or will we be able to park in any open spot?
• What’s the earliest you can go?
• Would you recommend 2 spots for ~30 people?
• Is buying on StubHub the best option?

First time setting up so apologies for the simple questions.

Thanks so much!

Yes, you’ll need a generator for power - there are no electrical hookups in the stadium lots. Lots open 4 hours before kickoff. You can probably get away with 1 spot for the Rutgers game. The lot won’t be crowded.

Thank you!

So confirming that parking spots aren't reserved? Some passes I've seen have an assigned row.

We use a car battery with a converter for power for our TV.

They aren't reserved but the attendants will most likely try to direct you to a certain spot / row and have you park with cars on either side of you. You can try to convince them otherwise, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It's not like the old days where folks who got there early could take whatever spot they want.

Frankly I think they should be a bit more practical and work with people on days when it's not going to be a sellout game, but I'm not the one who makes the rules.
