Great pickup for Coach Floreal. More high profile recruits=bigger/better results. I've never understood why Arkansas is THE spot for T&F, but don't see any reason why UK can't be a top destination for those folks.

Funny. I remember watching her run at least one of her races in Rio. Who knew she would be headed to Lexington? The subtext of the NJ.com article is annoying. People in the Northeast need to get out more. Maybe they could quit picturing Kentucky as some sort of wasteland.

I watched a lot of the track meets UK participated in, particularly the women's track and the hurdles in particular. Didn't UK have a freshman that won the NCAA meet in Oregon this year, my feeble mind forgets her name but it was a double last name that is on the tip of my tongue, alas, she should be mentioned, both were amazing to watch run.

southindycat, I'm pretty sensitive to such things, but reading quickly through the piece, the only thing I saw was the question, "Why Kentucky" to which a good answer was given. I didn't spot any trash talk about Kentucky or the South.

This is a big deal, though. She will be special.
