Don't forget those Hawgs! Pretty sure they were the only thing that made the SWC an interstate conference.
Yes, indeed. Arkansas was part of the Southwest Conference. At various times Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, SMU, TCU, Houston, Rice and Baylor were members. The Big Six was Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri. Colorado and Iowa State formed the Big Eight. I'm going from memory so there may be a team or two misplaced from the Big Six.
California 39 million. Texas 27. Ohio 12 million. But it has 9 schools.
Ohio, Akron, kent state, Toledo, bowling green, Miami, ball state, Ohio State, Cincinnati
Granted only one is P5.
Its pretty amazing that with all those colleges in Texas that only 1 of their top 30 rated prospects chose to stay in state last year. The one was Ed Oliver at Houston. No wonder Charlie Strong was fired.
