I know, a lot of you aren't Panther fans, and for those of you who were born and raised in NC, shame on you.

But for those of us who are, there has never been a bigger game played in either Carolina than the one being played this Sunday. I have held off on Panther topics but this is an incredibly important game in our State.

How bout some love for our boys? They have been tough as nails this year and giving everybody they've played more than they can handle. I've been a Panther fan since I was 4 when I first saw them playing in their first ever NFC championship game back in 96. Now we host our very first one.

It hasn't always been easy to be a panther fan, but man, I'm proud of our boys.

Considering we went 15-1 in the regular season and we're 16-1 including the playoff win, no one is giving us any respect. Every game that we've played going back to probably week 8 of not even earlier in the season everyone has been saying "oh they'll lose this week" but we've won everytime with the exception of the second game against Atlanta. Most of them think that we're overrated and not good just because we've never won a Super Bowl before and they just can't accept the fact that we've been the best team all season. I imagine that most don't think that we can beat the Cardinals this weekend but I believe that we'll prove them wrong again just like we have in 16 out of 17 games this season.

I'm born and raised in NC, Crazie, and I'm not a Carolina Panthers fan because I've been, and will remain, a Minnesota Vikings fan till I die (which they're helping along). But if the Panthers win a Super Bowl I will be happy for you. Good luck!

Born and raised here in NC, been a Giants fan since I was a little kid and will die one. If the Panthers win great but the Duke-unc game is more exciting to me. I'll definitely pull for them should they play the patriots.

I am a big Panther fan also. Had always been a Steeler fan until we got a team in this state. Still pull for the Steelers unless they are playing the Panthers. I did pull kinda of against them last week because I figured the Pats would have more trouble with the Broncos in Denver than the Steelers in Mass. Guess that makes sense. Looking ahead , I would rather see the Panthers play the Broncos than the Pats.

Arizona hasn't been playing well for about a month....maybe six weeks. I think Carolina will win something like 30-21.

Honestly, I don't think Carolina has been disrespected that much. Last week you just have to take it like it is....you were playing the two-time defending NFC champions, and over the course of the past two months, the Panthers were probably the only team playing on par with them. The old dog is always going to get more attention than the new one.

I'll be cheering for the Cardinals and Broncos, but I think both lose.

There ya go bud.

My grandma and grandpa were born and raised Redskin fans... Until 1995 when the Carolina's got their very own team and then they kicked the Redskins to the dump. Now we have one to call our own

It's just my way I have to pull for all my teams from my state!! Well, most of them ( not UNC !!)

Arizona will be very tough

No disrespect is meant here, but I disagree with this wholeheartedly. I absolutely loathe the Panthers. Didn't feel this way until recently when I started hearing people say things like this. I don't think anyone has to pull for them because they live in the Carolina's. I grew up a Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders fan. Have been all my life and will never pull for anyone else. I had no feelings about the Panthers either way in the loss to the Pats some years back. Although, I would say that maybe people wouldn't be as annoying now, had the Panthers won that game. These last few years have been unbearable though, especially this one. People get offended to the point of anger when you say that you are not a Panthers fan around here. So, for your sake, good luck! Otherwise, blah.

Born and raised in NC, but been a Cowboys fan since I was in diapers. As I have said before, these "lifelong diehard fans" here are the most annoying fair weather fans I've ever seen. Just last season early on they wanted to trade Scam and fire Rivera. Now they are the greatest. I didn't know there was a rule that said you have to pull for your hometown team. These people wanna fight when you say you're not pulling for the Panthers. Also, I can't pull for a team named Carolina anyway. Go Zona!!!!!

The talk radio crowd in NY disrespects both the Panthers and their fans. They think the fans are just hopping on the bandwagon and they can't stand Cam's celebrations. I say to hell with them. I think they are an exciting team that deserves support and a rabid fan base, and I hope they win it all. (Just please don't hop OFF the bandwagon in leaner times!)
OFC, Giants fan, even in leaner times.

Great post. And I love how everyone talks about "bandwagon" fans. Like Carolina is the only team to have any bandwagon fans LOL. I never knew a Seahawks fan until 3 years ago and I never knew a Alabama Crimson tide fan till Nick Sabam came.. Every team has bandwagon fans but not all fans are so..

Interesting that this is the biggest game in Carolina history. Wouldn't playing in the Super Bowl a few years back be bigger than a conference championship game? Not shame on me for not pulling for the team in the city I grew up in. Shame on those for switching teams when the panthers came to town.

Lol. Don't pull for USA either. Who cares that ya live here. I wonder if living in NC has anything to with how loving Duke began for some of you?

Like I said keep your team, but show some pride for the team that represents the state you were raised in. Heck I'm also a big KC fan also, but that's in Missouri. Bleh do as you all wish.

Carolina has been for sure disrespected, I've followed closely, you'd never know we've hammered so many teams and were 15-1. This week has different finally.

Arizona really has receivers that can give us serious fits.

I agree with some of the posters....Panthers fans for the most part(not saying all) are the biggest bunch of bandwagon fans i've ever seen. The ones in my area starting liking them about 1/.2 way through this season and every single one of them swear they have been Panthers fans since they day they entered tne NFL in 1995(not positive about the date).....and for that reason I hope they lose and lose bad

If anyone has HONESTLY been a Panthers fan since the day they entered the NFL for your sake I do hope they win it

CrazyDuke who is fighting? You ask a question and people are answering. As far as the Packers being knocked out of the playoffs what's that got to do with anything. I don't thinks the cats have made it out of the playoffs lately either. But the Packers do have 4 Super Bowl wins, not to mention 13 World Championships. Just saying! OFC

Every single panthers fan I know had a team before they came to the league.. What the flip do you people expect? People that are panthers fans didn't like or watch football before 95? So all the Carolina fans were just sitting around saying "I wish we had a team here I could root for, maybe one day we will so I won't root for anyone till then" thata foolish and makes no sense. Everyone in my area that I know roots for the panthers and usually still roots for the team they had before. Some of them are die hard panthers some are diehard the other and Carolina as a secondary ten but they ALL like the panthers.

Who are these evil people you speak of?
On just about every article posted about the Panthers that I've read there have been countless non Panthers fans commenting to say that the Panthers suck and that they're overrated or the Panthers will lose their next game every weekend since around week 8 if not even sooner than that.

I'm sure not everyone in Wisconsin pulls for Greenbay, or everyone from Nashville pulls for the Titans and etc, so I'm sure its ok if not everyone from NC likes the panthers. To each their own....

I agree the Super Bowl was the biggest game that the Panthers have played in but he was saying that NFC Championship will be the biggest game that the Panthers have played in the Carolinas not the biggest game in the team's history.

Fight might be strong of a word.

Panther fans have not always been then best fans for sure but boy we are gonna hate a team for "bandwagon" fans? I guess Duke should for sure be hated, especially duke football fans.

Face it franchises typically don't have have large fan bases come in unless you have either a deep history or a lot of championships. The steelers would be just as popular as the saints if they had not won a championship untill just recently. Where are all the charger fans? Ram fans? Coincidence Dallas has sooo many fans? Or those Super Bowls have something to do with it?

You have to give those of us old enough to have thought, "Altoids? Hmmmmm. Thanks, Lewinsky," a break for having a favorite team when the Panthers came into existence. (I forever bear the cross of my native land: the Lions.) Unless that original team was, like, Atlanta, though, yeah, the Panthers have to be the second fave for natives and long-time residents.

The Seattle win was a big hump to get over. Arizona will be tough, too. In a potential Super Bowl, Brady still has it; Manning doesn't.

Lions yeesh. I live in Michigan these days and God bless them they have fans here man, they don't hide. I lived in Tenn for four years and believe you me, their Titan fans were nowhere to be found.

I have a hard time imagining, with all his weapons back, that Tom Brady will lose.

Grew up a Cowboys fan, respected the heck out of Tom Landry. Favorite player was Calvin Hill. Along came Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson and it changed things a lot. I started pulling for the Panthers from day one and haven't stopped.
I even went to Clemson and watched them their first year. Go PANTHERS!

By the way, I still hate the Steelers!

Yeah, I never refer to them as the "carolina" panthers. Just the Panthers. And, I can understand how folks who pulled for other NFL teams didn't change favorites when the panthers came into being. Don't know how others feel that pull for NFL teams,, but, I will never have the same passion for pro sports as I do college teams. In fact, football is the only pro sport that I watch anyhow. Do not care at all for pro basketball.
