They screwed themselves with 5 turnovers. This blaming the refs every game gets old. The first PI call was terrible. The other one, they would’ve accepted the Roughing the Passer had they not called it.

The interception play was a tough call. Can’t really blame the refs there as much as you could question the NFL’s interpretation or lack thereof of what a catch is. The call on the field likely stands on a replay, regardless of what was called. Nobody could tell in real time.

Still, nobody in Buffalo’s locker room is blaming the refs. They have nobody to blame but themselves. Even with just 1 or 2 turnovers they probably win that game by 2 scores.

When the Bills had the ball on or or around the 6 yard line and Allen went back in the end zone to pass there was holding that didn’t get called which would have ended the game.

Refs gifted the Broncos a TD and a late-game INT that changed the game. Both sides made enough to mistakes to lose. Doesn't exonerate the refs for screwing up.

It's a playoff tradition, actually. Last year the Bills were screwed when the refs called a turnover on downs when it was 100% clear the Bills had picked up the 1st.

Does any team ever lose a game and the loss not result in fans claiming the refs stole the game from them?

Decades of kids never being allowed to fail at anything and everyone getting a trophy simply for showing up have resulted in "adults" who cannot accept not getting what they want.

That was my opinion as well, although it was a truly quirky play.
See, my and my GF disagree (also with literally no dog in the fight)

We're old school though. What we saw: Chicago guy clearly caught the ball, had it secured and was going to the ground. He hit the ground with the defender draped all over him. (Clearly touching) - In our opinion, Chicago guy caught it, was down by contact the instant his knee hit the ground......after that it's all irrelevant, HOWEVER, if one wanted to continue to argue it, one could say it was a "simultaneous" possession, in which case the rules are clear, the ball stays with the offense.

I agree with the OP, Bears got absolutely screwed - however, I don't care. My gripe with the refs and the NFL is something has changed over the years and they don't really provide any clear explanation of what or why. Seems like they're making it up as they go along.

**EDIT** - Bears, Bills, who cares. Not me. You know what I'm talking about.
