OT: The Hunt

[JL23]

Everybody's favorite horse race / social gathering event of the year takes place this Saturday, 10/17 for the 105th consecutive year. Unfortunately, I will be in Miami for the FSU/UM game and will not be in attendance.

Anyone plan on going?

[RUChet]

Not a fan of any animal racing sorry - horse, dog, etc

think they are all awful but enjoy!

[DJ Spanky]

Will Chris Ash be in attendance?

[Knight Shift]

Will Chris Ash be in attendance?

He should have went by "The Punt"

[Letitrip]

Went once. Most overrated event. An afternoon with a bunch of pretentious drunks.
It is Burning Man east.

It’s bigger than ever….. Total drunkfest for the Hoboken/Morristown crowd

Yeah I'll enjoy my bourbon and cigars in peace in my backyard. Sounds like a douche convention.

My firm had the same spot for years and it was required attendance -- I hated it more every year

Agree. Went once and I will NEVER go back again. Total "amateur hour" filled with people who aren't seasoned tailgaters. Absolute ****-show

...and the train ride back is filled with idiots pissing and puking everywhere. From a long-time Hoboken/JC resident lol!

Will Chris Ash be in attendance?

No. Busy "fencing the garden" that day.

Sounds awesome! I think I'll do that and follow-up with Santa Con.

Sounds like a freaking nightmare. Like I said, I'll enjoy high quality bourbon, tequila and cigars in peace in my backyard with the fire pit going.

I'm more of a fan of the Buffalo Hunt held in the 1980s.

Seriously - jump-scared when I saw this thread title.

I didn't go when I lived in Bedminster so not going now.. Not my thing.

I do have friends going.
