Heard some rumors about potential trading for Senzel. Cant gauge how I feel about it if it happens until we see the return.
Really psyched about signing Castellanos today. Between him, Shogo, Miley, Moose....been a good offseason so far. Still feel like we need one more piece. Id love to get a good bat at catcher but there just isnt anyone out there to replace Tuck.

Castellanos was my guy all offseason long. Preferred him to Ozuna. Nick feasted on NL Central pitching once traded from Detroit. Was a consistent hitter their even while the Tigers were trading all their assets in the lineup for protection in the order. Like Moustakas as a lefty in GABP though with the IF depth, wish they splurged on Yasmani Grandal to move on from Barnhart. If only the Reds could have read the future and held onto to Grandal over Mesoraco.
Missed out on Realmuto last year, one of the game's best overall hitting/defensive catchers. Spare me the Tucker is cheap and a Gold Glove horseshit. He's the lone weak link offensively and for once in defensive WAR, not much separation between him & Casali. Could take a flyer on a Lucory or Martin to platoon with Casali who can handle the bat for a catcher and move on from Tucker. We saw what an older catcher like Kurt Suzuki accomplished on the WS winning Nationals. Kyle Farmer is projected to be used as a utility infielder on this year's team.
Looks like Jesse Winker headaches are over for now should Shogo, Castellanos, Senzel & Aquino stay healthy and contribute. Trade speculation is out there for Senzel now. Could package Winker in a deal for those who still view him as a prospect. Would consider offers on Senzel for top quality backstops and a couple more dependable relievers. Offensively sound with significant upgrades. Best Starting rotation in the NL Central. Wade Miley reunited with Derek Johnson is huge. 2.57 ERA in Milwaukee in '18 with him. Saw what he did rejuvenating Sonny Gray last season.
Who knows, should all pan out and be a legit threat might get frisky enough to inquire on Francisco Lindor again with Senzel's history at SS, potential or veteran Freddy Galvis.

If you they can package Senzel with Galvis and a prospect and in return land Lindor you gotta do it. They get Lindor and they are favorites in Central and quite possibly NL.

Suarez having shoulder surgery to repair loose cartilage from a swimming injury. Expected to be ready near in time for the beginning of the season.
My buddy is a huge Reds fan and is very excited about the upcoming season. Thinks they can win division. For his sake l sure hope so. I'll be attending several games with him.
I'm one of the harshest Reds critics there is but I believe they have as good of a shot as anyone to win the NL Central with this pitching staff and a really good offensive lineup.
If the Reds stand pat and are in contention as expected by the deadline, Salvador Perez in KC will be back from injury and the Royals are not contending anytime soon. Perhaps he'd be someone too look at when the time comes.
