Had no interest in a made for TV event, playing for other people's money, settled under the lights on a par 3 course (did they finish at Mason Headley? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

If they really want to make it interesting, get Rory, Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka, 2 man teams, but they each put up $500K of their own money. Or better yet, a 4 man game of Wolf, and each guy ponies up his own cash. Winner donates to a charity of his choice.

Pretty much...this turned into a disaster all around. The hype was off the charts, the ppv got all jacked up and those that actually bought it were the suckers, and the golf itself was awful. Icing on the cake was the windmill hole to close it out.

It's a great start to save the sport of Golf. I met family out Friday night for drinks and wings before most traveled back home. The entire place was enthralled by this meaningless event. It had entertainment value. It made golf interesting, especially during a time when golf doesn't matter.

Agree. No, it wasn't the best golf Tiger and Phil have played, but it was entertaining. I paid the $20, and it was worth it to me. I very much enjoyed the conversations between the players and caddies and the side bets.

I think they can tool with the format and involve different and more players, but this was a good start IMO.

Enjoyed it. But I’m not part of the complaining society that tries to pick apart this and that of every little thing in sports, politics, etc.

Yes, but nothing on this scale. Props to both guys going into unknown territory and dealing with the many pressures that came with it. Will serve both of them well going forward.

Phil is a notorious gambler and shyster....this was hardly unknown territory for him. And there was definitely not any pressure on him. Tiger, maybe a little pressure to make sure he didn't hack it around too bad. And this scam will serve them well going forward this much: NONE.

You once again are ignorant about the game. Typical.

On occasion...but not now. I know you built this event up as the second coming to Ali/Frazier so I get your ignorance. Tone down the hype a tad and reality won't bite so hard.
