Rudedud,
Would you be able to give a name or address,
My 54 yr old son manages a bridge construction outfit in that region and brings home different styles of pizza.
This pizza place sounds great. Maybe my son can pick up pizza the night before the OS game.
Thank you,
Thomas
FYI Pizza was sold out by 3pm today so when ordering it order early

Cosmo’s cheesesteaks are top notch, but I haven’t had one in years. Catalano’s Italian market in West Scranton has, in my opinion, the best Italian hoagie money can buy. Simple but perfectly executed. Not meat heavy like some rank their hoagies. The optimal balance of meat, cheese, bun, peppers, dressing, and seasonings. Man, I might have to drive to Scranton before my flight out of PIT on Sunday. 😉

Oh, and Pro Tip. Don’t call them pies in Scranton. They’re known as trays.

.

I expect there are a good number of people with initials OD who live in Tampa Bay.

If you meant to say that the OP is from Tampa Bay and are suggesting that this might be a rationale for the typo, relax. You see this particular typo all the time, it’s no big deal. I mentioned this only because if I were the one doing the writing, I’d appreciate the typo being brought to my attention. It was great writing, with perfect tone, wow, don’t get me started, he really invested himself. It demanded respect. The OP accepted my suggestion in the spirit it was offered.
Thanks! I write and don’t do a ton of editing/proof reading. It’s my personal blog so usually my writing is nothing more than a stream of consciousness. I do like when people point out issues and inaccuracies and certainly don’t take it personally.

If people are offended by my writing or typos I’ll give them their money back 😉.

My latest post on 14-year-old Joan Marie Dymond of Wilkes Barre. She disappeared in 1969. Part of her remains were found in Nanticoke in 2012 but they weren’t identified as Joan until Oct 2022.

Now, police say she was murdered and an investigation is underway.

Check out my recap of the sequence of events.

My latest post. A robbery gone bad in 1964 ended in murder at the newly opened IBM Building in Scranton.

Thanks for posting. All of these are incredibly fascinating.....and yet painfully sad.

Some places make both. Typically pies round 8 cut and trays 12 cut rectangular.

My latest post.

In October 1921, a Halloween party in Scranton turned deadly when a quarrel over hats led to Egisto Migliosi being fatally shot by Giuseppe Piccotti. Despite efforts to bring Piccotti to justice, he fled to Italy. Eventually, Piccotti was tracked down and arrested in 1928, but the case's resolution remains unknown.

I didn't want @PSUJam to be stopped up, so I created another post.

Vittorio "Victor" Giacometti, an Italian immigrant from Gubbio, made a new life in the US, opening a restaurant and becoming a US citizen. His mysterious death in 1928 led to speculations of suicide or murder, with rumors of gang involvement and love affairs. While it's considered a closed case, so many questions remain unanswered.

Thank you! I didn't get to the other one yet but I definitely will. Probably won't be until next week though.

For all of you "down the line" folks... Here's a murder mystery from 1938 in Kingston. Margaret Martin was lured by her abductor and killer with the promise of a job. Her naked mutilated body was found stuffed in a burlap bag in a creek in Northmoreland Township. Her killer was never found.

On the 120th anniversary of her brutal murder, I’m reposting my story about Mary Warner. She was clubbed to death while walking home in Scranton on November 26, 1904.

My latest post.

Antifa and Fascists clash in Scranton...in 1928.

There were a series of bombings in Scranton during 1928 while Mussolini was in power in Italy. Some of the bombings were likely Antifa vs Fascists while others were likely the work of the Black Hand.

I know the area well, so sorry about Miss Dymond.

My father-in-law, a well-known labor boss for 542 Operating Engineers in Philly, Delaware state and Luzerne County would tell his 542 colleagues if you have to knock someone around and things get out of hand, take the body to Luzerne County.

Well known proverb in the Valley: If you have to commit a murder, do it in Luzerne County.
